II. BACKGROUND/SITUATION ANALYSIS
Artists mostly underestimated or taken for granted in the society.
Others think that their crafts are cheap and just a piece of trash. Perhaps, this
is one of the main reasons why student-artists loss their self-esteem and
worse, deciding not to pursue their career in the field of visual arts.
Also, one of the big factors that hinders young artists in realizing their
vision is lack of parents or family support on their passion because of the
misconception that “being an artist is not a profession, impractical, and will
never help sustain the family needs”.
Art exhibit activity is one way of boosting the self-esteem of our young
artists, bringing out the best in them and proving that they have place in the
world of professionals.
This activity is entitled “City of Art” because it conveys the image of
productivity and development. This is to show that ABIS is one of the schools
that assures student-artists are honed to be productive, versatile, and skilled.
The art masterpieces that will be showcased during the exhibit will be the
means of verification or proof of how the ICT1 artists do well in their chosen
strands. Further, this is to prove that in ABIS…they are in good hands.

IV. DESIRED IMPACT AND OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT
The ABIS ICT1 Culminating Activity (City of Art) is an avenue to
showcase the best practices of the Technical Drafting and Illustration Strand
under Technical Vocational and Livelihood Track not just in ABIS but
throughout the Mandaluyong Division. Apart from exhibiting the development
of the ICT 1 ABISian Artists’ craft, this activity also aims to promote the
abovementioned track and strand to all incoming Senior High School students
who have passion in the field of visual arts and architecture.
Thus, more students will be encouraged to enroll in Andres Bonifacio
Integrated School by letting them witness the quality of education the school
caters as they experience the City of Art. Moreover, this event will encourage
the parents to support the passion of their kids. This also aims to motivate
and inspire our incumbent ICT1 students to strive more in order to grow in this
field and let them share their talents and acquired skills for the good of the
community in the near future.
V. RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN
The school head and the busy schedule of the organizing committee
may hamper the implementation of the project.
Time management of students on their tasks may also hinder the
timeliness of materialization of such event especially that most of the
grade 12 students are already deployed for their industry immersion.
Financial challenges may also arise during the preparations of the
exhibit.
Approval of the school head for the project will surely be sought to
avoid any inconvenience.

IX. OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION
It is indeed tough to follow our passion and make life decisions
especially in choosing our path to be taken without the full support of our
family and the appreciation of the society in our craft.
Support coming from the school/ institution especially the teachers is
significant in eradicating the dilemma of our young artists.
Therefore, the City of Art – Art Exhibit and Culminating Activity of ABIS
Technical Drafting and Illustration Artists is one of the best ways to boost
young artists’ self-confidence because through this, they will feel that there
are people who believe in them and appreciate their craft. Moreover, this will
let the parents show the achievements and accomplishments of their kids in
this school year (2018-2019) and let them realize that a colorful future awaits
their children in this field as well. Also, the activity hopes to encourage young
artists to pursue their dreams and do their passion by choosing this strand.
