This unit attempts to help the pupils center their moral life on the person of Christ himself. He teaches us not just by words but also by deeds God’s greatest commandment of love.
Jesus reveals a new way of fulfilling this law of love by requiring total commitment to love not just in our actions but even in our intentions. The Beatitudes contain values that characterize
this new way of loving which leads to true happiness and freedom. Jesus exemplified the deepest meaning of human freedom by his obedience to his Father’ will. Conscience is the voice
guiding freedom to do good. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Risen Lord, guides our conscience towards applying the law of love in our daily lives. The Spirit of the Lord makes us grow
and develop as true disciples of Jesus. The Ten Commandments specify and concretize ways of living up to Christ’s command to love.

believing in God, doing His commandments, and living a life of prayer and commitment to the sacraments. These commandments deal with the proper way of relating to God Himself,
Jesus, throughout His life, insisted that His followers obey the Ten Commandments and truly love God, His Father above everything and everyone else.

legitimate authorities whom He empowers for the good of all.
God is the source of all life. He created us in His own image. Jesus spoke of His earthly mission as one of providing life. “I cam that you may have life and have it to full” (John 10:10).
Human life is sacred. The Fifth Commandment only prohibits murder and revenge but also commands that we protect and preserve not only our own lives but also those of others against
anything that violates human dignity.
God created us as sexual beings. Hence, sexuality is a divine gift created for a divine purpose. The Sixth and Ninth Commandments protect our gift of sexuality and its purpose by
condemning adultery and promoting the practice of chastity and modesty.

others, we must strive to become persons-for-others, too, by developing an attitude of loving service, lived in daily life through our efforts to show magandang loob and pagmamalasakit sa
kapwa especially those who will never be able to repay us, such as the poor.
