DRESS CODE – EFFECTIVE FOR 2019/2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Student’s Dress Code:

Fall & Spring Dress Code:

o Any solid color dress shorts, no more than 3 inches above the knee
o Females may wear uniform skirts and jumpers
o Any solid colored slacks, loose fitting
o Any solid/striped colored polo shirt or standard dress shirt
o Neat, Clean, and professional presentation
o Shoes: Casual dress shoes including Sketchers, Sperry, Vans, boat shoes
-No Crocs, Clogs, or Heels
o Socks appropriate to attire must be worn at all times
o Belts must be worn on all non-Casual days
o Shirts must be tucked in
o No basketball shoes, athletic shoes, sandals, flip-flops
o No yoga pants/casual shorts

Winter Dress Code: Thanksgiving to Easter

o Same as above with the exception of dress shorts


o Sweaters, light zip up jackets
o No winter jackets in classrooms

Dress down Days (TBD)

o T-Shirts/Sweatshirts/Hoodies
o Jeans-loose fitting/Track pants
o During Fall and Spring, casual shorts/ t-shirts
o Athletic Shoes permitted but socks must be worn
o
Females:

o Females are permitted to wear earrings in ear lobes only; no longer than 1 inch.
o Females are not permitted to wear make-up
Males:

o No piercings permitted
o Hair length should not extend over the shirt collar or below the eyebrows
Gym Days:

Students may not participate in gym class while wearing their school uniform. On gym days,
students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will arrive at school in their gym uniforms:

o Solid black sweatpants or standard-length, black, mesh shorts are required; “short-
shorts” or yoga pants are not permitted
o Solid gray t-shirts or sweatshirts are required; students may also wear a “Saint John
Paul II” t-shirt or sweatshirt
o Solid color athletic socks are required
o Athletic shoes are required
