Mapeh 7 Lesson Plan Health

I. OBJECTIVES :
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to
A. Identify the common Non-Communicable diseases.
B. Know the importance of having an active lifestyle as a prevention of NCDs.
C. Demonstrate the symptoms and causes of the different NCDs.

II. SUBJECT MATTER :


A. Topic : NON- COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

C. Time : 10: 50 AM- 11: 50 AM

III. PROCEDURE :
A. Preliminary Activities:
- Prayer
- Checking of attendance
- Review of the previous lesson

B. MOTIVATION
Show a video of “the oldest living person” (source Youtube)
Ask the students the reason why Kane Tanaka of Japan have lived for about 116 years
as of March 2019.

1. ACTIVITY
Divide the class into 7 groups.
Let the students perform a role play about the following Non-Communicable diseases.
Read the topic assigned to each group. They will show the nature of the disease, cause
and symptoms.

1- Allergic eczema 6- diabetes


2- Allergic rhinitis 7- hypertension
3- Asthma
4- Stroke
5- Diabetes
2. ANALYSIS
1. Explain what is a Non-communicable disease.
2. Explain the different common Non-Communicable diseases as well as its
causes and symptoms.
3. Ask the students who are the possible victims or patients of the different
mentioned NCDs.
4. Enumerate the ways or preventions of having NCD.

5. Enumerate the consequences of having a NCD.


3. ABSTRACTION:
- Discuss to the students that Non-communicable diseases are the most common
leading cause of death of many people around the world.
- Explain why is it always important to take care of our health and the importance of
having a regular check-up.

4. APPLICATION
Let the students complete the table below.
