RPP Congratulation

Topic : Expressions of Congratulation
Time Allocation : 2 meetings (2 pertemuan x 4 jam pelajaran @40 minutes)

 1ST MEETING (4 x 40 minutes)

1. Pre Activities (15 minutes)


a. Teacher greets the students.
b. Teacher asks the leader of the class to lead their friends to pray
c. Teacher checks student’s readiness by doing warming up
d. Teacher gives motivation and apperception
e. Teacher tells the goals of learning to students
f. Teacher gives leading questions

2. Whilst Activities (130 minutes)


g. Teacher presents the role play to the students and asks them to pay
attention to the role play (script of role play: appendix 1). While the
teachers presents the role play, students have to take a notes some
important thing related to the expression of congratulation
h. Teacher asks students randomly to mention the expression that is
mentioned in the role play, they are allowed to see their notes
i. Teacher asks students to do the first worksheet and they have to
finish it. They are allowed to finish it with their chair mates or others
(first worksheet: appendix 2)
j. Teacher and students discuss the answer of first worksheet
k. Teacher leads students to pronounce the expression of congratulation
and the responses with the appropriate pronunciation. They can
practice in in many times until the students know and familiar with
the pronunciation (pronunciation, word stress, falling and rising
intonation: appendix 3)
l. Teacher ask students to find their pairs, it can be chair mates or
others, and finish the second worksheet (second worksheet: appendix
4)
m. Teacher asks students to be the volunteers (5 pairs) to present their
second worksheet in front of the class
3. Post activity (15 minutes)
n. Teacher chose students randomly and asks them to resume what we
have learn today orally
o. Teachers gives reflection to the activity that has been done
p. Teacher ask students to learn more about the pronunciation of the
expression of congratulation and the responses
q. Teacher close the meeting by greeting and praying

 2nd MEETING
1. Pre Activities (15 minutes)
a. Teacher greets the students.
b. Teacher asks the leader of the class to lead their friends to pray
c. Teacher checks student’s readiness by doing warming up
d. Teacher gives motivation and apperception
e. Teacher give stimulus to students by asking the material (English) at
the previous meeting

2. Whilst Activities (130 minutes)


f. Teacher gives the third worksheet to recall their memory about
expression of congratulation and responses (third worksheet:
appendix 5)
g. Teacher gives an example of the expression of congratulation and the
responses and discuss it to find the language features, especially
about vocabulary
h. Teacher asks students to finish fourth worksheet individually. (fourth
worksheet: appendix 6)
i. Teacher asks the leader of the class to collect her/his friends’ work
and submit it to the teacher
j. Teacher gives another worksheet to students and asks them to finish
the fourth worksheet (fifth worksheet: appendix 7)
k. Teacher chooses students randomly to presents their own
conversation about the expression of congratulation and the
responses orally

3. Post activity (15 minutes)


l. Teacher chose students randomly and asks them to resume what we
have learn today orally
m. Teachers gives reflection to the activity that has been done
n. Teacher ask students to practice the expression of congratulation at
home
o. Teacher mention the material that will be learned in the next meeting
p. Teacher close the meeting by greeting
