8. Type of construction : Seamless
9. End use of material : Sour Service application
10. Optional requirement : Nil.
11. Special requirements :
Shall have a maximum carbon content of 0.23.
The Carbon Equivalent (CE) based on the Ladle Analysis shall not exceed 0.43, calculated by
the following formula: Carbon Equivalent = C+ Mn/6 + (Cr+Mo+V)/5 + (Ni+Cu)/15
Sulphur content in the material shall be ≤ 0.01% and Nickel content in the material shall be
<1%.
All materials shall be supplied in the normalized condition. Normalizing shall be carried out as
a separate heat treatment
All materials shall be in accordance with the materials property and heat treatment
requirements of ISO 15156 or NACE MR0175
Materials shall have hardness at any point (including HAZ & Parent metal) not exceeding
HRC 22.
Wrought steel butt welding fittings shall comply with the requirements of MESC 76/201.
All Material supplied shall be new, clean and free from mill scale, rust, pit and defects.
Unless noted otherwise in the purchase description, pipe fittings shall be in accordance with
the following: ASME B 16.9 and SPE 76/200.
All non-destructive examination shall be performed after heat-treatment.

12. Certification : According to SA-234Para-12; Original or Verified true
copy of Mill test certificate is required in accordance with
EN10204-3.1: E2004.
As a minimum, the MTC’s should contain the following:
