A RESOLUTION GRANTING BURIAL ASSISTANCE OF THREE THOUSAND PESOS


ONLY (Php 3,000.00) TO FAMILIES OF DESCENDENTS 60 y/o & ABOVE AT THE
TIME OF DEATH. FUNDS TO BE TAKEN FROM THE ONE (1) PERCENT BUDGET
ALLOCATION OF SENIOR CITIZEN’S FROM THE BARANGAY BUDGET 2016.

WHEREAS : as part of its social services programs, the Barangay Council of


Sto.Niño will be granting burial assistance to indigents Senior Citizen.

WHEREAS : the present measure of awarding burial assistance is one way of


recognizing the services, hard work & efforts of the old timers who
contributed one way or the other to the development and programs
presently enjoyed by the residents of Barangay. Sto.Niño.

WHEREAS : the Barangay Sto.Niño Council foresee the need of extending


burial assistance to the depart family of our Senior Citizen’s
especially the indigent ones.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the


Barangay Sto.Niño Council, by the virtue of the power vested in it by law, in
session assembled, that:

SECTION 1: Burial Assistance in the amount of Three Thousand Pesos Only (Php
3,000.00) is hereby granted to the depart families of Senior Citizen’s (60 y/o &
above) at the time of death. Provided, that depart is a Senior Citizen ID holder
with an address in Barangay Sto.Niño and is an existing resident of the Barangay.

SECTION 2: Families of descendents who have been granted burial assistance


under this resolution are still qualified from availing themselves of other burial
benefits / assistance from the City Government.

SECTION 3: Funds shall be taken from the budget for Senior Citizens duly
appropriated by the Sangguniang Barangay of Sto.Niño.

SECTION 4: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
