Primer on PA Log
Physical activities (Pas) are categorized into:
1. Fitness event – usually a running race that includes (a) fun run and (b) 5- 10 kilometer race.
2. Recreational activities – include playing sports for fun or sports pursuits for enjoyment, amusement or pleasure such as basketball pick-up games, wall
climbing, water sports and mountaineering activities.
3. Individual or Group exercise – structured exercise programs aimed at fitness development in or off campus. The workout may be pursued solo, supervised
by a personal trainer or instructor led. It include circuit training, resistance training, aerobic dance sessions, yoga, pilates, running (treadmill, track oval,
road), walking, etc.
4. Competitive events – are contests resulting in either a win or loss outcome. Participation requires intensive and long-term preparation (e.g. training) to
endure the demands of the sport.
5. Based on the PA category of your choice, document details of your participation by following the prescribed format. Do PA s on non-PE days. This will help
you meet the recommended guidelines of participation on most, if not all days of the week.
6. The PA log will serve as your major examinations and should accumulate number of minutes as per recommended by WHO.

Note: The points earned from a particular PA should be the total score points for midterm and final period.
- The student will document his participation in various physical activities.
- The student will submit the documentation once every month.
