Fibonacci Sequence

The document discusses examples of the Fibonacci sequence appearing in nature. It describes how spider webs use the sequence to create durable yet flexible structures with precise angles. It also notes how the seeds within sunflower spirals follow the Fibonacci pattern. Finally, it explains how the numbers in the pineapple's spiral patterns correspond to the Fibonacci sequence and determine the fruit's iconic diamond shape.

Fibonacci Sequence in real life.

1. Spider Web
Spider Web is extremely complex. Spiders weave structures
together making, sheets, tangling and funnel webs. Spiders make extremely
precise angles in web. Each spiral within the webs uses Fibonacci
sequence. Using this type of sequence makes the web more durable harder
than steel and a flexible web. It allows for the web to be more strengthened
and remain compact.

2. Sunflower Spiral
Sunflowers are beautiful yellow giant flower. In the middle of it is
called sunflower spiral containing the pattern of seeds within a sunflower
that follows Fibonacci sequence – there are two series of curves winding in
opposite directions, starting at the center and stretching out to the petals,
with each seed sitting at a certain angle from the neighboring seeds to
create the spiral.

3. Pineapple
We can see the pattern that mimics the Fibonacci sequence in the
outside layer (the skin) of a pineapple. There are 8 spirals in one direction,13
spirals in the opposite direction, and 21 spirals vertically. Each of these
numbers appear chronologically in the Fibonacci sequence. This pattern of
growth determines the iconic diamond pattern found on the pineapple.
