Emergency Rescue Plan

EMERGENCY PREPARATION:-
 Emergency Communication in area at all times.
 Access into area for pedestrians and emergency vehicle to be kept clear.
 First aider to be on site.
 Assembly point to be designated.
 Hole watcher to standby at Confined space entry.

RESCUE PLAN
 In the event of emergency within the confined space all the person shall be
evacuated and assembled in the emergency assembly point.
 Alba/Bechtel emergency no. will be contacted and all relevant information
given as to the emergency.
 A roll call will be held to insure the all personal are accounted for and any
missing personal will be reported to site ESH manager.
 Under no circumstance may any person access into confined space to rescue
a fellow worker if not trained to carry out a rescue.
 In the case of collapsed worker, a fellow worker will report the incident to the
supervisor and hole watch. If it safe to assist the worker to the exit and the
confined space assistant may be given or the injured person to be kept safe
and comfortable in the location of the incident until help arrives.
 Rescue worker will be rescued out by pulling the life line attached to the
safety harness.
 Injured or collapse person then to be taken to Bechtel clinic for treatment or
transfer to hospital for further treatment should it be required.
