IV. CONCLUSION

The Gulayan sa Paaralan is a good project that should be implemented in every school
eve n if there is a small space in school. It is a good activity for pupil not just in school but also at
home. It does not matter how big or small the space is but what is important is how dedicated a
person is make a Gulayan flourish. It is good that the school shows how pupils can make a garden
and adapt it at home. Let the learning here in school continue at home.

V. RECOMMENDATIONS

 Crop diversification to ensure food production across the year (seasonality considerations) and
ensure soil is not exhausted and pest incidence is reduced.

 Establishment of school crop museums at least one per district, to conserve underutilized but
nutritionally relevant heritage crops.

 Formal integration of garden as demonstration and laboratory for more subjects aside from
EPP and Science to stimulate multiple senses to reinforce learning and ensure better recall of
the subject being taught.

 Utilization of school gardens as a platform for learning and for sharing among pupils and
parents.
