PIRACY LAWS

Laws Offender Where Manner/Means

Art. 122. Piracy & Mutiny Any Person: High Seas or Phil. Waters Attack or seize vessel;
-Not being member of complement; Seize part/whole cargo; equipment,
-Not passenger personal belongings of crew or
passengers

Art. 123. Qualified Piracy Same - Art. 122 Same - Art. 122 Piracy or Mutiny:
- special complex crime a) Seized vessel by boarding or firing
upon it; b) Abandoned their victims
w/out means to save themselves; c)
Accompanied by murder, homicide,
physical injuries or rape

P.D. 532- ANTI-PIRACY AND -Any person including complement & Philippine waters “other crimes as a result or on
ANTI-HIGHWAY ROBBERY LAW OF passenger; occasion thereof”
1974 - Accomplice: 1) provides info of
movement of law officers; 2) receives
property or derives benefit therefrom;
3) aids and abets
