Section II – Packing Lists

Exercise Packing Requirements

During field exercises, Soldiers will always pack for the next higher duration of field exercise in order to be prepared for
inclement weather or unexpected conditions. These bags will either be carried on the exercise by the Soldier, or will be
staged in a secure location in the Battery footprint so that it can be delivered if necessary.

It is the job of every Leader to ensure that Soldiers at all levels are fully prepared for field exercises. Pre-combat
inventories (PCIs) will be conducted on every Soldier at least 24 hours prior to any field exercise, with pre-combat checks
(PCCs) occurring at least 4 hours prior to movement. First line supervisors are responsible conducting PCIs and PCCs.
Platoon and section leadership is responsible for scheduling time for their completion and ensuring they are conducted.
