Things I know Question
- Why I choose this
topic?(Deforestation)
- Rainforest deforestation and - What are the most human impact on
relationship to species extinction. the environment?
- Habitat destruction of other biomes. - Explain overpopulation
- Broad spectrum
- Selection pesticide
- Polyculture .
- Monoculture
- Pollution
- Overexploitation
- Climate change
- Invasive species
Things I learned
- The reason we chose this topic because of the deforestation is the common global
issue in the world.
- We also learn about this topic from the earlier unit so we are able to explain and
solve the issue with more clearer.
- Overpopulation
- Survival used to mean repopulating. That, however, is quickly becoming true for
the opposite as we reach the maximum carrying capacity that our planet can
sustain.
- Overpopulation has grown into an epidemic since mortality rates have decreased,
medicine has improved, and methods of industrial farming were introduced, thus
keeping humans alive for much longer and increasing the total population.
- The effects of overpopulation are quite severe, with one of the most severe being
the degradation of the environment.
- Using Smart Cities to Accommodate Overpopulation Effects
- Humans require space, and lots of it whether it is for farmland, or industries which
also takes up tons of space. An increased population results in more clear-cutting,
resulting in severely damaged ecosystems. Without enough trees to filter the air,
CO₂ levels increase which carries the potential to damage every single organism
on Earth.

Thing I know Question
- Why people continue cutting down
the trees?
- Can we survive without trees?
- How can you stop a tree from
being cut down?
Things I learned
- Here are many factors that make human cutting down trees. The main reason that
human cutting down the tree because of the lane needed. But there is also some
reason that makes human cutting down tree such as logging, agriculture, cattle
ranching, mining, oil extraction, and dam-building.
Here are some simple ways kids can help save trees.
- Use paper wisely. We can save trees from being cut down by using
less paper.
- Play and create with trash.
- Borrow, share and donate books.
- Plant a tree.
- Visit the forest.
- Stay on the trails.
- Get your Smokey on.
- Without trees, humans would not be able survive because the air
would be unsuitable for breathing. If anything, people would have to
develop gas masks that filter the little oxygen that would be left in the
air. Anyway, trees take carbon from the atmosphere through
photosynthesis in order to make energy.

Thing I know Question
- What are some ways the protect the
environment ?
- How can we protect our
environment in everyday life?
- How can you protect the
environment as a student?
Things I learned
- Teach others about the importance of the environment and how they can help save
rainforests.
- Restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where forests have been
cut down.
- Encourage people to live in a way that doesn't hurt the environment
- Establish parks to protect rainforests and wildlife
- Support companies that operate in ways that minimize damage to the environment
- Improve Your Home's Energy Efficiency.
- Buy Local.
- Compost.
- Use Reusable Bags. Plastic grocery-type bags that get thrown out end up in
lakes and landfills or in other parts of the environment.
- Recycle. Recycling is such a simple thing to do, but so many people don't
do it.
- Save Electricity! Use energy-efficient light bulbs instead of regular bulbs.
- Save Water.
- Walk or cycle.
- Conserve Water.
- Choose Eco-Friendly Producers.
- Drive Less.
- Learn from the Experts.
- Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose.
