INTRODUCTION
Water is the most important all compounds and one the main constituent of the world
in which we live and living matter.
Nearly three quarters of our earth’s surface is covered with water.
It is essential for all life, approximately 60% and 70% water in the human body.
Naturally the water may be in physical states, however, it should be noted that
naturally there is almost pure. As almost always contains mineral
The exceptional importance of water from the chemical view point is that almost all

THE WATER
DEFINITION
Water is a substance the molecule consists of two atoms of hydrogen and oxygen
(H2O). It’s essential for the survival of all known forms of life. The term generally
refers to water the substance in its liquid state, but the same may be in solid form
called ice, and in gaseous form called steam.
NATURAL STATE OF WATER
Water in natures is found in three physical states: solid, liquid and gas.
Solid State: It come as now, ice, hail, etc. forming the snow and glaciers of
the range, in colder areas of the earth so for example the Cordillera Blanca in
Ancash department, the snowy Coropunain in the region of Arequipa.

Liquid State: It is forming the oceans, seas; lake, ponds, rivers and rain give
way, etc.

Gaseous State: This state is in the atmosphere as water vapor in varying
proportions mists, forming clouds.

IMPORTANCE OF THE WATER
Water is very important for the following reasons:
Involved in the composition of living beings
(up to 95 wt. %)
It is the essential food for life
Involved in photosynthesis
Dissolved nutrients to be processed with in
the body
Environment serves as a large number of
organisms: fish, algae, etc.
They act as a vehicle transport of substances
with in living beings.
It is an energy source
It has many applications in daily life
It serves as a communication channel for men: seas, lakes, rivers.
WATER POLLUTION
Pure water is a renewable resource, but can become so polluted by human activities;
it’s no longer useful, but very dangerous.

Ocean Pollution
The ocean is currently the “dustbin of the world”, which will bring negative effects in
the future.
Most of the world’s coastal areas are polluted mainly due to the discharge of sewage,
chemicals, waste, radioactive waste, oil and sediment. The most polluted seas are
Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.
Dolphins, sea lions and sea turtles die when they eat or trapped by cups, bags, ropes
and other plastic garbage thrown into the sea.

Lake Pollution
Pollution of lakes and other wetlands
is due to the immense development
and industrialization of the cities that
pose increased water use and waste
generation a sometimes causes
water pollution.
One of the consequences of
pollution of lakes, is the skin
problems, many people use the lake
water for bathing.
River Pollution
The river pollution is a problem older
than the pollution, but that with the
increase of the population of the

composition is only natural, affecting
both fauna and flora that feeds the same as humans that drink.

CONSERVE WATER
The objective of water conservation is reducing water use and not use unnecessarily.
Water is essential for life, which is why we must always keep it and keep it clean and
pure to consume. You can perform many actions to conserve water. For example:
When you are bathing, turn off while you are so aping body or wash your hair,
and use the water to rinse.
Do not waste water in ponds.
Do not throw trash in the water.
Do not wash the car with the hose, use a bucket.
Closes all water pipes in your home.
Do not use the stream to wash vegetables, because it wastes a lot of liquid.
It is preferable to use a wash container where all together. You can then use
the water used to water the plants.
When cooking, use the amount of water.
Do not take more than 5 minutes showers.
Avoid all kinds of leaks in your home, workplace, office, etc.

CONCLUSIONS
Water is essential for life; therefore, we must take care.
Water pollution can cause great loss of our marine resources such as fish,
shell fish, and other marine species.
Many people consume the water of lake and rivers, water pollution can cause
health problems in people who drink contaminated water.
There are many ways to conserve water, water conservation allows us to
reduce the use of water and not waste it.
