RESOLUTION NO. 03 , SERIES OF 2018.
RESOLUTION PROPOSING THE CONDUCT OF AN ACTIVITY TO PAY
TRIBUTE TO ALL THE TEACHERS OF LA CASTELLANA NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL – SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, IN THE OBSERVANCE OF THE
NATIONAL TEACHERS DAY (NTD) AND THE WORLD TEACHERS DAY
(WTD) CELEBRATION ON OCTBER 5, 2018, 9:30 A.M., AT LCNHS – SENIOR
HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS, SITIO VILLA CAŇA, BARANGAY ROBLES, LA
CASTELLANA, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, PHILIPPINES, AND REQUESTING
PERMISION FOR THIS PURPOSE THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION OF
THE LCNHS – SENIOR HIGH SCHOOK, THRU MA’AM MONINA M.
EBANO, SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, TO ALLOW THE CONDUCT OF THE SAID
SCHOOL ACTIVITY, AS WELL AS PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to DepEd. Memorandum No. 130, Series 2018, paragraph 1., “The
Department of Education (DepEd), in coordination with the National Teachers Day Coordinating
Council (NTDCC) and the National Teachers' Month Coordinating Council (NTMCC), will
celebrate the National Teachers' Month (NTM) from September 5 to October 5, 2018, with
October 5, 2018 being observed as the National Teachers' Day (NTD) and World Teachers' Day
(WTD). This year's theme is Gurong Filipino: Turo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko.;”
WHEREAS, pursuant to above-said Memorandum, paragraph 2 states that, “this is
pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 242 entitled Declaring the Period from
September 5 to October 5 of Every Year as National Teachers' Month, as well as Republic
Act No. 10743 entitled An Act Declaring the Fifth Day of October of Every Year as the
National Teachers' Day and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the designation
of the World Teachers' Day every 5th of October by the United Nations Education and
Cultural Organizations (UNESCO).
WHEREAS, paragraph 3 of the same Memorandum states that, “As in the previous years,
the celebrations aim to:
a. honor those who are in the teaching profession;
b. acknowledge and give emphasis on the crucial role, loyal service,
and dedicated commitment of teachers in developing globally-minded citizens, nurturing
families, strengthening communities, and building the nation;
c. revitalize the image of and respect for teaching as a vocation by increasing public awareness
on the value of teachers in the Philippine society;
d. take the occasion as an opportunity in building the image of teaching as an attractive and
fulfilling profession;
e. generate widespread support and assistance for teachers; and
f. express gratitude for the positive influences of teachers on Filipino learners.
WHEREAS, in accordance with DO No. 49, series of 2011, Mandated Programs, Projects
and Activities of the Supreme Student Government:
1. The Supreme Student Government (SSG) is the foremost co-curricular student
organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects
and activities in schools nationwide. It lays the groundwork for good governance,
volunteerism, unity and cooperation by providing the students various venues
where they can improve their leadership knowledge, skills and attitudes. It trains
students to become better members of society in accordance with the ideals and
principles of participatory democracy and good citizenship. More importantly, it
helps the Department cf Education (DepEd) achieve its thrusts as indicated in the
Education for All (EFA) Goals, Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the
Basic Education Social Reform Agenda (BESRA)
2. In order to synchronize its programs, projects and activities (PPAs), the following
are mandated to be implemented annually by the SSG in the school and
community: xxx
9. lead students in organizing activities which start during the Teachers’ Month
Campaign every September and which culminate during the World Teachers Day
celebration on October 5;
WHEREAS, in compliance with the above-mentioned orders, the SSG have proposed the
conduct of the National Teachers Day (NTD) and World Teachers Day (WTD) in the La
Castellana National High School – Senior High School Campus, Sitio Villa Caña,
Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, Philippines, with the theme:
“Gurong Pilipino: Turo Mo, Kinabukasan Ko.:”
WHEREAS, the activity will start after the 2nd period class at 9:00 o’clock in the morning
and at 10:05 AM, which is the highlight of the celebration, school bells shall be sounded
as signal for the synchronized anticipated World Teachers’ Day celebration, and
immediately after the ringing /sounding of school bells, the ceremonial National Prayer
for Teachers, either in Filipino or English, shall be recited;
WHEREAS, an activity design for the proposed activity shall be made and submitted to
the School Principal for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to propose the
conduct of an activity to pay tribute to all the Teachers of La Castellana National High
School – Senior High School, in the observance of the National Teachers Day (NTD) and
the World Teachers Day (WTD) celebration on October 5, 2018, 9:30 A.M. at the LCNHS
– Senior High School Campus, Sitio Villa Caña, Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros
Occidental, Philippines, and requesting permission for the purpose the School
Administration of the LCNHS – Senior High School, thru Ma’am Monina M. Ebano,
School Principal, to allow the conduct of the said school activity, as well as providing
funds for the purpose.
FURTHER RESOLVED, to furnish copies of this resolution to offices concerned for
information and reference.
