INTRODUCTION
▪ A library management system, also known as an
automated library system is software that has
been developed to handle basic housekeeping
functions of a library.
▪ It’s a well organized software solution for a
library.
▪ It help to provide information on any book
present in library to the user as well as staff
member.
▪ It keeps a track of book issued, returned and
added to library.
OBJECTIVES
▪ To record the book’s detail.
▪ To record the member’s details.
▪ Reliable as information is stored logically
than physically.
▪ Faster search of available books and
members than by hand.
▪ It saves time for the management of
library.
EXISTING SYSTEM OVERVIEW (PIONEER INSTITUTE)
▪ Quit often, in pioneer institute’s most of the
transactions are done manually.
▪ Such system creates haphazard records of library.
▪ Manual system can give only the information
about the book issued by the students.
▪ While updating data misplacing records,
redundancy problems etc.

PROPOSED SYSTEM OVERVIEW
▪ We create a computerized solution for such
problem.
▪ This system is specially built to track
information about all the students and
book details.
▪ Search for desired book index system make
less time consuming.
FEATURES
▪ ADD, MODIFY and DELETE the book’s and
member’s record.
▪ SEARCH Book’s by ID, NAME, AUTHOR, INDEX.
▪ ISSUES and DEPOSIT the book’s.
▪ Keep records of the issued book’s by individual
member’s.
▪ View the record of book’s stock, member’s and
issued books.
▪ Help option is provided for the user.
REQUIREMENTS
▪ The Library Management System shall be require
information about its users and books.
▪ It shall store databases for students, teacher and
books.
▪ The student database stores information about a
student’s roll no, name, address, course and year.
▪ The book database stores information about a book
title, publisher, cost, bill number, year of publishing
and pages.
▪ The teacher database stores information about a
teacher’s id, name, department, designation, address
and telephone number.
SOLUTION OVERVIEW
The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a common mythology for system
development in many organizations.
SYSTEM ANALYSIS: OBJECTIVES
▪ To develop a system that can replace the manual library
management system.
▪ To develop a database which store user details & items details.
▪ To create an easy to understand user friendly environment.
▪ To make attractive user interface to navigate through the
system for the users.
