INTRODUCTION
As part of production tubing corrosion monitoring, X performs caliper logging from time
to time on corrosion prone tubing. X ST-2 has been caliper logged in the last three
consecutive years. X is logged again this year to assess the maximum penetration due
to internal corrosion of tubing wall. X prefers use of the 40- arm caliper for better
results.
PROGRAM SUMMARY
1: Calliper tool preps
Caliper supplied by the service company, will have to be function tested and
calibrated on site prior to tool being run in hole
As set of spare batteries must be present on site
Caliper software must be installed and fully functional on caliper engineer’s
computer prior to job commencement
Service company will provide all accessories required to connect the depth
counter to X’slickline unit
2; Slickline unit
X will provide power pack, slickline winch (0.108” supra 75 wire) plus operator
Calliper engineer will work hand in hand with slickline operator and X well site
supervisor to accomplish the task
3:logging
X has a permit to work system that ensure all parties working on the well are
conversantwith the task in question as well as help identify all involved hazards
and their mitigation. All persons working on the well have to sign permit prior to
work commencement
Well will be shut in 30 minutes prior to work commencement. All isolations will
be in place and well hand over will be signed between X site operations and well
services
Slickline PCE rig up will be done by X under supervision of X well site Engineer
Logging speed will be 30ft/min
QA/QC of Raw data will be done immediately after tool has been retrieved from
the well.
5 days will be provided for the service company to provide detailed report of the
findings
Logging will be done from 1879m to surface . completion diagram has been
provided and a copy will be available at the well site
