the Eth-Trunk interface. The Eth-Trunk technology increases
bandwidth, improves system reliability, and realizes load
sharing among member interfaces.
WSFD- VRF SGSN/MME The virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) feature is applied to
012400 layer 3 (L3) virtual private networks (VPNs). With this feature,
a router can be logically divided into multiple virtual routers.
Each virtual router works independently and has its own
routing table and interfaces for data forwarding. In this
manner, routes are separated.
WSFD- Enhanced Linux OS SGSN/MME The Enhanced Linux OS Security feature enhances security
012500 Security of the operating system (OS) in terms of services, password
configurations, file permissions, and kernel parameters. The
feature can be applied against hacker attacks without
affecting services. A secure OS is the basic requirement for
the proper running of NEs and legal user operations. An OS
with vulnerabilities is easily attacked by hackers and viruses,
which leads to problems such as the network service
interruptions, information loss, data damage and low running
efficiency. The Linux OS security policies and measures
consist of four aspects: minimization of OS, management of
OS logs, security hardening through stringent password
configurations, file permissions, and kernel parameters, and
security data configuration for interworking between devices.
This feature does not need to be configured.

USN9810 receives a USSD
request on the EPS network, it
instructs the UE to fall back to a
target circuit switched (CS)
network before performing
USSD services.
WSFD- CSFB with LCS MME CSFB Extended Package The CSFB with LCS feature
110700-2-2 provides location service (LCS)
using existing GSM or UMTS
networks. After a UE or LCS
client initiates a location request

performing LCS.
WSFD- LA&TA Harmonization MME CSFB Extended Package The LA&TA Harmonization
110700-2-3 Based CSFB Based CSFB feature enables
the MME to deliver a TA list
corresponding to only one LAI
to the UE after receiving a TAU
Request message. If the TA list
corresponds to multiple LAIs,
the LAI stored on the UE will
differ from that broadcast by the
BTS or NodeB after the UE falls
back to the GSM or UMTS
network, resulting in an LAU
procedure. This feature
prevents inconsistencies
between the LAIs and the
subsequent LAU procedure
after CSFB, reducing the call
delay and improving user
experience.

WSFD- One-shot LA Selection MME CSFB Extended Package The One-shot LA Selection
110700-2-4 CSFB CSFB feature enables an LTE
UE to access circuit switched
(CS) services without
performing an additional
location area update (LAU)
procedure. When an LTE UE
attaches to an MME through a
combined attach or combined
tracking area update (TAU)
procedure, the MME selects a
registered location area identity
(LAI) for the UE. If a CSFB is
requested, the MME sends a
CS fallback indicator containing
the registered LAI to eNodeB
for it to select a GSM or UMTS
cell with the same LAI for the
UE. After receiving the LAI from
the eNodeB, the UE can access
CS services without performing
an LAU procedure.

(eMLPP) services to a GSM or
UMTS network. This GSM or
UMTS network must support
eMLPP. The MME also
prioritizes the attach, fallback,
and paging procedures for
these UEs.
WSFD- Always Reachable MME Always Reachable CSFB When an MME or MSC in a
110707 CSFB CSFB-enabled MME or MSC
pool is faulty, another MME or
MSC in the pool will send
paging requests to eNodeBs to
ensure the successful
processing of mobile-terminated
(MT) calls.
WSFD- CSFB with MSC Pool MME CSFB with MSC Pool The CSFB with MSC Pool
110703 feature implements load sharing
in a mobile switching center
(MSC) pool by migrating UEs
performing circuit switched
fallback (CSFB). This feature
can be used in the following
scenarios:
When an MSC in the
MSC pool is to be
upgraded, the
maintenance
engineer can
execute a UE
migration command.
Then the USN9810
marks the MSC as
unavailable and
migrates UEs from
this MSC to another
MSC in the pool.
If all SGsAP links
between an MSC
and the MME are
faulty, the USN9810
automatically
migrates the UEs.

WSFD- Flash CSFB with RIM MME Flash CSFB with RIM The Flash CSFB with RIM
110704 feature reduces delay in the
circuit switched fallback (CSFB)
procedure. After an LTE UE
attaches to the MME through a
combined attach or combined
tracking area update (TAU)
procedure, it must fall back to
the GSM or UMTS network to
perform circuit switched (CS)
services. This feature enables
the UE to obtain the radio
parameters of the target
network through a RAN
information management (RIM)

WSFD- Multi PLMN CSFB MME Multi PLMN CSFB The Multi PLMN CSFB feature
110705 enables carriers to share
LTE/EPC networks but not
GSM or UMTS networks. PLMN
is short for public land mobile
network. CSFB is short for
circuit switched fallback. EPC is
short for evolved packet core.
This feature allows an LTE UE
initiating CS services to fall
back to a GSM or UMTS
network owned by its serving
carrier, reducing the carrier's
investments.
WSFD- CDMA 1xRTT CSFB MME CDMA 1xRTT CSFB CDMA 1x radio transmission
110799 technology (CDMA 1xRTT, also
referred to as 1xRTT) circuit
switched fallback (CSFB) is a
voice solution. This feature
uses an existing 1xRTT network
to provide voice services
without introducing an IP
multimedia subsystem (IMS).
When a UE initiates a voice
service, the evolved packet
system (EPS) instructs the UE
to fall back to the 1xRTT
network for processing the
voice service.

WSFD- IMS-based VoLTE MME VoLTE Entry Feature As mobile broadband networks
110708-1 continue to evolve, mobile
broadband has become a
development trend for mobile
voice services that rely heavily
on softswitch. The radio access
network (RAN) is evolving from
GSM/UMTS towards LTE, and
the core network (CN) is
evolving towards the IP
Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).
Huawei has adopted the IMS-
based VoLTE solution, which is
the most popular mobile
broadband voice solution in the
industry. In the IMS-based
VoLTE feature, voice services,
like data services, are
transmitted in the packet
switched (PS) domain.

WSFD- Shortest Path Prefer MME VoLTE Entry Feature In an SGSN and MME dual-
110711 Based VoLTE registration network, the
Shortest Path Prefer Based
VoLTE feature allows the SGSN
and MME to record the time
stamp into the context of a UE
each time a radio connection is
established for the UE. When
requested, the SGSN and MME
provide the recorded time
stamps for the HSS so that the
HSS can use the time stamps
to determine the correct
location area (LA) of the UE.
The HSS requests the SGSN
and MME for the time stamps
through a Terminating Access
Domain Selection (T-ADS)
procedure after receiving a
request for the location of a
called UE from the IMS. The
HSS then provides the
determined location area
identity (LAI) for the IMS. The
IMS can then initiate a paging
request to the UE based on the
UE's LAI. This reduces the call
setup delay.
