Atticus Finch: 1. Atticus is not racist at all, even though he lives in a racist town surrounded
sympathetic by racist people. He passes his biggest moral lessons on to Scout: The
and importance of acknowledging that people, no matter how they look, have

a more realistic way.
Bob Ewell: a 1. He has no moral authority at all. He has no sympathy for unprivileged
terrible human people, even though he´s part of one of the poorest families. That makes him
being. quite incoherent.
2. He´s a liar. He lied about Tom raping his daughter, which is one of the
worst things he could've done.
3. He reckons that being a white man is way more important than being a
good man, and so does the jury. That's reflected in the lye soap part, where
says that being scrubbed with it in very hot water could make the skin white.
Mrs Dubose 1. They were always the kind of people you'd look up to. They were admired
and by the Finch kids through the whole story.
