what is CMMS
A CMMS is computer software designed to simplify maintenance
management.
CMMS stands for Computerized Maintenance Management System (or
Software) and is sometimes referred to as Enterprise Asset Management
(EAM) software.
· In BGI Ethiopia we are used CMMS software called OptiMaint

1. Asset Management
o Organize, follow up and analyze all the assets of an organization
2. Work Management
o Manage curative, preventive and condition-based maintenance
3.Purchase Management
o Manage the complete purchase cycle from price request to
supplier invoice
4.Stock Management
o Manage stock movements(receipt, withdrawal ,etc) and
inventories
5.Budget Management
o Define annual budgets for an automatic cost allocation
6.Project Management
o Management investment projects( improvement , new project ,
reallocation etc)

Asset Tree
How to access asset tree
Step1: In your desktop please access OptiMaint shortcut and open it
Step2: you will find login window insert USER ID and PASSWORD, at Company field select 02(BGI)
Step 3: click on validate button or enter

Step 4: on main window tool bar press explorer or F2 in your keyboard
step 5:you can access all asset tree by expanding each hierarchy items from company up to item.
