ASSIGNMENT #1
Introduction:
Before we discuss the hologram and its techniques, we need to figure out that how we can see any
object or thing with our eyes, because hologram or holograph is related to it. We can see any
object because light from an object can move through space and reach our eyes. Once light reaches
our eyes, signals are sent to our brain, and our brain translates the information in order to detect the
appearance, location and movement of the objects we are sighting at. If we go to any place where
there is no light, or we can say darkness all around, then we will not be able to see anything.
Now, let’s take an example of a Voice Recorder, whatever we speak the voice recorder can record our
voice and we can play it multiple times. It means a machine can record our voice frequency and
amplitude. In the same we know that we can see any object due to the reflection of light. Here the
Question arises that, can we record the light and play it whenever we need to? And the answer is yes,
it is possible in holography.
Brief History:
The world Hologram comes from a Greek work “holos” which means “complete” and “graphos” which
means writing. The concept of Holography was first given by the English Physicist Dennis Gabor 1947.
He proposed that if we try to improve the image-producingicapabilityiofielectronimicroscopes,iwhich
use streamsiofielectronsiratherithanilightitoimagnifyiobjects. iHis solution was to take anielectron
"picture" of aniobject. However, thisiprocess requiredia coherent light source, isomething that did not
exist at theitime. It wasn't until theiearly 1960s, when theifirst workingilaser was produced, that 3-D
imagesicouldibe created. For developing the basiciprinciplesiof holography, iGabor was awarded
the Nobel Prize in 1971.
Holography:
Holographyiis aimethod of producingia 3-Diimageiofian object. iTheiimage it bringsitoilife is referred to
asia hologram, ifrom the Greekiword meaningi"whole picture." iUnlikeiaitwo-dimensionalipicture, a
hologramiallows a person to look "around"iand "behind"iits subject.
Hologram:
The hologram is airecordingiof the differenceibetween
twoibeamsioficoherentilight. iLight is composed of
wavesithatiare all theisame length and that travel in
allidirections. Coherent lightiis in phase, imeaning its
wavesiare vibratingiand travelingitogether in the same
direction.
To createia hologram, ia laseribeam is splitiin two:
oneibeamithatistaysiundisturbed is called the
reference beam, istrikes a photographic plate. The
second beamiisicalled the object beam,
strikes theisubject and thenibouncesionto
theiplate. Theisubject's interferingiwith the
second beamicauses theitwo beams to
become out of phase. This differenceicalled
phaseiinterferenceiis what is recordedion
theiphotographic plate. iWhen a hologram
isilater illumined with coherent light of the
sameifrequency thaticreated it, a 3D image
of the subject appears.
7D Holography
The methodiof capturingia high qualityiof a hologramiwith 7 Parametersiis called 7DiHolography. 7D
hologram is capturedifrom many positionsithat surrounds a subjectior whole scenario. i7D means 7
dimensionsior parameters, iweidescribeieachiposition in 3Dispace, ithisipositionicapture viewing

parallelithe resulting image move as
viewer move.
Recentlyia team of Japanese made

that thisitechnology sooniwill
become affordable enough as now it
is being usediin Dubai Malls, iin cinemasiand other public places.
Imagineiyou are present atimore than two differentiplaces at the same time. You can deliver a lecture to
multipleiclassrooms at the same time. And mostiimportantly youicanicreate aiscenario of yourilecture

Aihologram is an endlessitechnology that you caniimagine; eveniit will changeievery aspectiof life. If we

This technology with its full implementation can bring historical change in every field of life.
In our Pakistan, we have 3D Hologram technology available. Recently a famous Political Party leader
uses hologram technology. Through this technology he addressed with the people of three cities at the
same time. In addition to that, currently no organization in working on 7D Hologram technology in
Pakistan, but as the technology arising as the people are accepting and welcoming the new advanced
technology, We can expect this technology in Pakistan in near future.
