Parents & Dancers –

Thank you for your interest in the OKC Storm Pom Squad for the 2019-2020
season. We appreciate your enthusiasm and interest in this new program and
are so excited to see what the new year holds. Included in this packet you will
find information that will explain the try-out & evaluation process, membership
guidelines, and general information that all members (and parents) will need to
be aware of before joining OKC Storm Pom. We take pride in our program and
want the very best for all members of the squad.

The purpose of the OKC Storm Pom Squad is to provide positive and
constructive opportunities for the social, physical, and educational growth of
homeschool students in the greater OKC area. OKC Storm has purposed that the
organization and all of its activities and publications will be consistently and
forthrightly Christian to the honor and glory of God. OKC Storm does not
discriminate in its provision of services due to race or religion.

This can be a truly rewarding experience for each of you, but it also requires
commitment. A squad member must be willing to practice on his/her own time to
perfect skills. Additionally, a squad member must be able to work well with
others; as pom is a team sport! Please be aware of this as you prepare to take
on the challenges and responsibilities of becoming a member of the OKC Storm
Pom Squad.

Parents, please also understand that if your child makes the squad there are
some responsibilities on your part as well. Once selected for a squad, you will be
financially obligated to pay an upfront fee as detailed in the packet.

A completed and signed tryout application as well as the $50 registration

and evaluation fee MUST be returned to Coach Mayes prior to your
dancer’s evaluation day.

I am so excited for the year ahead and look forward to meeting you! Thank you
so much for considering OKC Storm Pom and good luck to each of you!

Best,
Coach Mayes
