Pump Alignment Methodology

1) The document describes how to calculate the position of the front and rear feet of a movable machine coupled to a fixed flywheel based on dial indicator readings. 2) Total indicator readings from dials on the face and rim of the flywheel are used along with measurements of the flywheel diameter, coupling width, and distances between feet locations to calculate the vertical and horizontal positions of each foot. 3) Positive results mean the foot is high or to the right, while negative results mean the foot is low or to the left.
