1.0 Introduction
The English Week proposed by the English Panel of SK Agama Sri Aman offers a
number of interesting language-based activities for all the pupils of SK Agama Sri
Aman. This program aims to encourage the use of English language among pupils
either in spoken or written activities. It is hoped that at the end of the program, the
pupil’s interest towards this subject will be heightened and simultaneously improve
their achievement.
2.0 Objectives
1. To promote the use of English among pupils
2. To encourage participation of pupils in school-level competition
3. To identify new talents for school representatives
4. To instill interest among pupils in activities related to the English language.
5. To expose the pupils to the use of English language in various kinds of activities
6. To promote English language as a medium of interaction/ education/
entertainment.
3.0 Rationale
Since English language is one of the core subjects, it is very important for the pupils
to master it. Therefore, the English Panel has planned a program with interesting
activities so that the pupils will not be apprehensive to use the language in their
daily basis. Apart from this, English Language Week is also an opportunity to
acknowledge the efforts of ESL teachers to teach language skills, as well as
providing support for the pupils to boost their confidence in using the target
language not only for the purpose of the examination but also to prepare them for
the real world.

10.0 Closure
In conclusion, this program is one of the alternatives to boost pupil’s confidence
level as well as their interest in the language. It is hoped that this program would
leave great impact in pupil’s mind and display the result later on whether in their
achievement or in their lives.
