Phytoplankton Diversity in Carigara Bay

1. This study aims to identify phytoplankton genera and determine diversity and abundance in fish ponds and coastal waters of Carigara Bay, Philippines. 2. As primary producers, phytoplankton are crucial for coastal productivity and the marine food web but have not been well studied in this aquaculture region. 3. The study will analyze physico-chemical parameters and their relationship to phytoplankton distribution across four sampling stations, providing information on trophic status and fishing ground productivity in Carigara Bay.
