Topic : Making a science project.

Title : How to make a water rocket.


The aim : 1. To know what is water rocket.
2. To know what physics law work on a
water rocket.
The subject : a water rocket.
The requirements :
- Materials : 1. Two waste plastic bottle size
600ml or 1500 ml.
2. a ½ inch pipe with length 3m.
3. Three T pipes.
4. Three L pipes.
5. a Faucet pipe.
6. Tire Valve.
7. Paperboard, and Plasticine or make a
ballast from wet newspaper.

- Tools : 1. Solder, Cutter, Ruler, and Scissor.


2. Pipe glue, and Tape.
3. a Pump.
Duration of research : Two days.
Procedure of the research :
A. Making a rocket launcher (First day):
1. First, Prepare ½ inch pipe and then cut it to 20 cm (8 pieces) and 8cm
(2 pieces).
2. Second, Make a spot or hole on a T pipe with a Solder for a Tire Valve.
3. Third, Assembly the T pipe with a hole that we make before to the rest of
T pipe plus L pipe. We call it as the launcher body.
4. After That, Cut the rest of ½ inch pipe to 80 cm and 10 cm.
Then assembly it to fauchet pipe to finish the launcher tip.
5. Finally, Assembly the laucher body and the launcher tip to finish the
laucher.
B. Making a water rocket (Second Day):
1. First, Prepare 2 water bottle and cut it half.
2. Second, Assemble it with glue tape.
3. Third, Use paperboard as cover for the rocket, and glue it with tape. We call it
the body of the rocket.
4. Next, Cut some paperboard and make it into a cone, put some plasticine into it.
We call it as nose cone.
5. After That, Cut the rest of paperboard and make it into the wings of the rocket.
Make at least 3 wings.
6. Finally, Assembly the body, the nose cone, and the wing. And glue it with tape.

The research will be conducted in three phases. The first phase is


writing a research proposal. The research proposal will provide the aims,
subjects, and requirements to conduct the research.
The second phases is field research. From the field research we can
make a recount text. The recount text will provide the datas that we got
from the experiments and what the researcher do to subject during the
experiments each day.
The third phases is writing a research report. The research report will
provide some tables that classified the datas we got from field research.
