1st Speaker (the proponent)

Greetings (Greet the audience – miss instructor, my worthy opponents, ladies and
gentlemen.)

Today, me and my opponent are debating on the resolution of ___topic_____.

Introduction

-include the introduction in your essay.

- Defines the terms of the topic.

- explain about the topic – give a scenario/ event that related to the topic /caused the topic to
rise.

Thus, i as the proponent agree/disagree/believe/do not believe/ support/do not support this
resolution/ topic. In other words, i believe that _____rephrase your topic___ for two
vivid/valid/good/strong reasons : First, ____P1 . and second, ____P2____.

For the first reason,

Point 1 – introduction for Pro1, state your point/topic sentence.
