II. Rationale
In accordance with the annual Nutrition month celebration and with this year’s theme
“Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin” which focuses on food production at home
through the family’s own garden and aims to improve the healthy food consumption of Filipinos,
food security or to be self-sufficient as possible with backyard gardening, Bais City Special
Science Elementary School has planned activities with the goal to educate pupils, as well as the
public the importance of proper nutrition especially to our pupils. We also desire to teach the
public on how to better discern between healthy and unhealthy foods for better food choices;
and encourage food industry including farmers, producers and distributors and food
establishments to produce and make available healthier food options to consumers. We target
to disseminate simple and practical nutrition message that encourage our pupils to start the
consumption of healthier foods and discourage them from eating unhealthy diets.
III. Objectives
In line with the celebration of the Nutrition Month, Bais City Special Science Elementary School
aims to:
1. educate students, as well as the public the importance backyard gardening in
improving healthy food consumption;
2. disseminate simple and practical nutrition message that encourage our pupils to
consume an adequate and well-balanced diet together with a healthy lifestyle; and
3. inspire them to eat and live healthy through active participation of the various
nutrition month activities.

VIII. Expected Outcomes
1. Pupils’ and faculty and staff’s active participation on all of the activities.

3. Strengthened relationship between the school and its stake holders evidenced by the
support given to the school’s programs and endeavors.
IX. Feedback and Monitoring Mechanism
This activity is closely monitored and supervised by the school head.
Accomplishment Report will be submitted at the end of the month long activity.
