High Frequency Words: am, as, an, at, last, see

1. Pronounce the high frequency word.

Mini Lesson Script Materials

2. Build the high frequency word.

Teacher: (guided practice)


Using the manipulative of choice,
spell out each word as I say it
and speak the spelling as you
build the word
Magnet Letters,
*The purpose of this section is to give an opportunity for Shaving cream, Sand,
kinesthetic learners to work hands on with material. The teacher Carpet letters
can use any items in the classroom that are multi-sensory.

(continue until all words have been built)

3. Write the high frequency word.

Teacher: (guided practice)


Write each word as I say it.

(continue until all words have been written)
