Importance of Bible Teaching

Christianity offers answers to key questions about God, the purpose of life, human origins, and eternal life. Bible teaching is important because it reveals that: 1) God exists and sacrificed himself to save humanity from evil and grant eternal life. 2) The purpose of life is to find meaning through faith in God rather than worldly things, caring for others, and sharing gifts generously. 3) All humans descended from the original human couple, Adam and Eve, created by God. 4) Eternal life after death can be received through belief in God and obedience to his commands while living.

Re: Lesson 10 - Why Bible Teaching Is Important to You?

Guide Question for Reflection:

Christianity and Christian doctrine offer the true answers to questions such as:
1. Does God really exist?
- As Christian who has grown up in a family who believes in the works of God, I can
say that God really exist He is the only savior to all the human kinds. His sacrifices
freed us from all evils and it is just and right to follow His orders as the one who
saved by Him. God existed in all forms such as living with our soul, sending his love
to us and many more.

2. What is the purpose and meaning of life?

- Life is a gift of God to us He sacrificed himself just to save us from evil.
- People who learn to put their trust in God, instead of in worldly things, find a deep
sense of peace and serenity that overshadows the evils, anxieties and disappointments
of life and the fear of death. We live in the world but we must put our hopes and trust
in God.
- People who manage to break out of selfishness and focus on caring for the needs of
others find a sense of purpose and fulfillment far beyond any possible worldly
gratification. The only way to find true happiness is to make other people happy.
Life's meaning is not found in getting more, but in giving more!
- "Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from
the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day. And the
Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and
keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-
flowing spring.
- For if you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and
overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more,
and running over. Whatever measure you use to give -- large or small -- will
be used to measure what is given back to you." (TLB, Luke 6:38)
- Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind
regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out
for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
- Each of us has something to give. Some have wealth, some have talents, some have
time, some have compassion, some have wisdom. Whatever gifts we have been given,
large or small, we should share generously. When we do, we fulfill God's purposes
and find true meaning and satisfaction in our own lives.
-
3. What is the origin of the human race?
- All human beings are from a solitary human couple, Adam and Eve, who were
fashioned by the hand of God himself. In his discourse to the Athenians, Paul
declared that God “made of one every nation [ethnos] of men to dwell on all the face
of the earth”.

- The expression “of one,” as it appears in the Greek Testament, is ex henos, literally
“out of one male.” The allusion clearly is to Adam, out of whose side came Eve (Gen.
2:21-23), and, ultimately all humanity (Gen. 3:20). From the divine vantage point,
there is no diversity of ethnicity.

- In Acts chapter 10 there is the record of the first instance of Gentiles being admitted
into the kingdom of Christ. The case involved Cornelius, a Roman centurion who
worshipped the true God (v. 2), but who had not been proselytized to the Jewish
system (cf. Acts 2:11). By a vision, the Lord instructed the Roman officer to send for
Peter, who would provide the necessary information for conversion (vv. 3ff; cf.
11:14).

4. Can we receive eternal life after death?

- Yes, we can receive eternal life after death. If we believe in God and if we follow all
His orders while we are still living in the world that He created we can definitely
receive the eternal life. Eternal life is the outcome of being freed from sin and
enslaved to God and bearing fruit in sanctification, “for” — because — “eternal life is
a free gift.”

5. How can we be forgiven of our sins and receive the favor and blessings of God?
- Yes , God hates sin, but He loves the sinner. The price for God's forgiveness is high,
but He paid the price Himself. By Christ's loving act of grace, believers are eternally
freed from the penalty and guilt of sin. Once we're covered by the Blood of Christ,
God doesn't keep a record of our sins. Our forgiveness is total and complete. A
believer receives God's forgiveness when he repents of sin and places his faith in
Jesus Christ for salvation -- all of his sins are forgiven forever. That includes past,
present and future, big or small. Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, and
once they are forgiven, they are all forgiven. A Christian life should be a changed life.
A person who claims to be a believer yet continually lives a life that says otherwise
should question the genuineness of his faith. Christians are forgiven no matter how
many times they sin, but at the same time, Christians should live a progressively more
holy life as they grow closer to Christ.
