The BIGGER picture
Before you reject or embrace the contents of this book, I implore you
to review the facts objectively. As the focus of any investigation must
begin through unbiased lenses. If the evaluation of fact or fiction flows
through legalism, religiosity or even pain, we corrupt due process. Such
corruption only hurls us further from actual truth.
v
Buried Treasure
The traditional use of this verse is to focus on the fact that we should
not be walking in fear or be afraid. However, this does not solve how to
rid ourselves of fear. A simple acknowledgment of the presence of fear
does not root it out.

Clues
I
t is not unreasonable to at least consider the writer’s (Paul the
Apostle) view of fear as shared in the bible verse 2 Timothy 1: 7).
For in doing so, we may discover the writer's truths concerning
fear to be our own truths (as opposed to what our understanding may
be).
To help you make the best conclusion about fear, below I’ve listed
three clues which I have lifted from the passage at 2 Timothy 1:7. These
clues are numbered below and will serve as a compass capable of leading
anyone to a moment of embrace or rejection.
The three clues below merely reveal the writer's truths in the scripture
mentioned above. The commentary attached to each clue is objective
and based on an honest explanation of the writer's facts--not my own.
1
FEAR CODE
Clue #1: God is not responsible for our fears. Whether one believes the
Bible is a hoax or truth, the writer of this verse has stated that we did not
inherit “fear” from God. Therefore, we can deduce from this passage that
Paul's audience is at least capable of experiencing fear.
Clue #2: Man receives the spirit of fear (but not by God): the fact that God
is not the giver of fear does not eliminate the fact that fear was given to
humanity from someone or something—at least in the eyes of the writer.
Therefore, if we did not receive fear from God, from whom did we receive
fear?
Clue #3: Fear is a “spirit”: The writer has categorized fear as a spirit. How
a person defines “spirit” is not as relevant as the category which the writer
has placed fear. The categorical placement of the term “fear” has left a set
of fingerprints that can reasonably point us to more information about fear
itself.
Now that we have reviewed the three details (or clues) about fear, we
can drill down into the details for more information. Hopefully these
clues will help you discover who or what is responsible for infecting
Paul's audience with a contaminant called fear. I must warn you, what
you may learn about fear could be right next to you or inside of you.

I
n order to better understand fear, it must be traced back to it’s
beginnings. Without knowing where fear came from, we are
utterly helpless to overcome it. Simply put, we must return to
the scene of the crime. I invite you to follow me to the scene of the
crime (i.e., a placed called The Garden of Eden).
These few verses are the culmination of events that Christendom has
coined as “The Fall of Man”. This doctrine rests upon the fallen state of
man as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, therefore illuminating
3
FEAR CODE
The fact that Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden tree was not the only
deal breaker in the garden. It was their response to God after their act
of disobedience that would have far reaching consequences.
According to the bible, the blood of animals could not cover or atone
for the impact of fear (Hebrews 10:1-4). The experience of fear caused
a relational break between God and Adam.
While Adam and Eve were accustomed to going on walks with God
"in the cool of the day" (Genesis 3:8), this time when God came to
commune with them they could not bring themselves to face God out
of fear. Fear pushed Adam and Eve to hide or isolate themselves from
God. Outside of God’s covering, man will die internally and outwardly.
For God himself stated (before The Fall), "It is not good for man to be
alone" (Genesis 2:18).
We can also see that fear--through the eyes of Paul the Apostle is not
geographically or chronologically constrained. The mention of fear in
Paul’s day is thousands of years after mankind’s first experience of fear
in the Garden of Eden (according to a chronological span of time from
the writer’s perspective) yet it is still a persisting issue in today’s would.
Whether a person agree with the Bible or not, we can likely agree that
4
THE SCENE OF THE CRIME
fear is real and has been here for quite some time.
How did fear travel through large spaces of time into our present age?
How did fear pass from Adam--who had never before experienced fear
prior to the Genesis story--through time into the present? How did
Adam then ‘give’ fear to his offspring? I believe the answer to that
question has been uniquely placed inside of us. That answer is revealed
through a scientific discovery called epigenetics.
If you're not familiar with the term "epigenetics" this is a great time
to pause (eat, check your phone messages, see after the kids, make
some tea, use the bathroom etc.) before delving into what I believe is
the most exciting part of this book. And that part begins with the next
chapter.

Introducing Alzehimer's
I
n order to fully grasp the power of fear (and our inherited
ability to conquer fear), you will need a simple explanation
of epigenetics. Allow me to introduce you to an example of
epigenetics in motion. Consider Alzheimer’s—a neurological disease
that progressively destroys memory, cognition and mental health.
Alzheimer’s disease is actually a gene (APOE-epsilon-4 Allele Gene)
that modern research has shown to be influenced by ancestral and/or
environmental influences (i.e., social influences, weather, dietary
intake, ancestral, etc).
When a person is born with a gene such as the Alzheimer’s gene, they
have what is called a genetic disposition. The environment plays a
significant part in bending that disposition toward expressing itself
through disease or simply remaining dormant.
6
INTRODUCING ALZEHIMER'S
This means that a person that has already inherited the Alzheimer’s
gene is not bound to succumbing to Alzheimer’s disease (I discuss
this at length in my book Lifesaving FAQs of How Food Reversed My
Brain Damage). For decades it was believed that inherited genealogy
was final. However, modern and more accurate research technologies
have revealed that heritable genes can be changed. A person who has
inherited the Alzheimer’s gene (or may be at risk) has the power to
influence whether or not the Alzheimer’s gene is expressed.
Researchers and scientists have long discovered that genes can pass
down from person to person within a single family tree. However, the
proof of genes being reversible or transferable has not always existed.

Shocking fear
I
n 1967 best selling author and internationally recognized biologist,
Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. performed a groundbreaking experiment.
Through his experiment, hoped to prove that genes were
environmentally expressive rather than irreversibly dominant.
Dr. Lipton went on to divide the 50,000 cells into 3 different petri-
dishes. Each petri-dish contained different environments. However,
the cells were all from the same original group of cells. If Francis Crick’s
Central Dogma was correct, the cells would generate cells after their
origin, despite the varying environments. However, that was not the
case.
Despite the fact that all of the cells were genetically identical to start,
each group of cells produced after its own environment rather than their
original genetic association. The cells expressed themselves according
to their environments.
9
FEAR CODE
***
Adam and Eve were the first biblical humans to experience fear in our
age of creation. A “fear” that the writer (Apostle Paul) calls a spirit.
That “spirit of fear” the Apostle Paul spoke of was something invisible.
One plausible option is that this invisible spirit was a heritable gene
that passed from Adam and Eve into and throughout humanity. But
before you decide to formulate your opinion about what you’re reading,
allow me to present unbiased research as my closing argument.
10
SHOCKING FEAR
The offspring of the mice (children) and even the next generation
(grandchildren) inherited the same fear without being introduced
to a single single shock. The next generation of mice were never
shocked yet each of the mice began to shake in high levels of fear
upon smelling the chemical. The next generation mouse had become
genetically conditioned to experience a fearful response to the chemical
acetophenone.
Now that we've learned how fear is genetically passed down through
generations, let's go even deeper.
11
5
Historical infection
A
dam and Eve’s experience of fear opened the door for all of
mankind to be infected by fear genetically. Hence the writer's
reference to fear as a "spirit"--an invisible contaminant of
man's biological qualities (2 Corinthians 10:4). Whether a person
is afraid of love, success, commitments, crowds of people, spiders,
sickness, children etc., the potential to be afraid began in the Garden of
Eden—at least from Paul’s vantage point.
There are billions of people around the world who experience fear and
internal conflict that began with their ancestors. Many churchgoers or
Christians refer to inherited genealogy as generational and bloodline
curses (topics I will cover in another publication). Similarly, a pregnant
mother can binge drink alcohol or abuse drugs and the unborn child
can inherit the same addictions. Numerous examples exist of family
members experiencing reoccurring bouts of addictions and suicide
across generational lines.
If it has been scientifically proven that our memories and the effect
of our daily experiences can be passed down into future generations,
this would explain how the “spirit of fear” has managed to survive the
passage of time from Adam and Eve to Paul's text and into our day.
12
HISTORICAL INFECTION
Not only has fear survived, but it holds a power even greater than
genetics. Mounting evidence indicates that emotional stressors such as
fear of a particular disease itself (an example being Alzheimer's), can
make a person more likely to succumb to the disease. I go deeper into
this aspect of scientific research in my book Lifesaving FAQs of How Food
Reversed My Brain Damage. Fear has the power to literally kill.
Fear has withstood the test of time and proves to have the greatest
impact on our biological health, even unto death (Deuteronomy 30:19).
13
6
Old baggage
T
he transferable dynamic of fear is far reaching. It is
possible that one’s current internal struggles (addictions, lusts,
insecurities, failures, trauma, etc) may be rooted in someone
else’s experiences (dead or alive). However, this does not make us
victims.
For this reason, the Apostle Paul announces what God is responsible
for giving us which is a spirit of power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:
7). Both are must haves when it comes to breaking inherited trauma
or conflict that prohibit many people from living a truly abundant life
(John 8:36, 10:10).
In the same book from which Paul the Apostle speaks from (The
Holy Bible)--there is a woman who bore children that inherited an
internal struggle. Her name is Rebekah and she was pregnant with
twins. However, this was not your average pregnancy.
14
OLD BAGGAGE
New York Times Best Selling Author and globally renown physician,
Dean Ornish declared “I am not aware of any other factor in medicine
that has a greater impact on our survival than the healing power of love
and intimacy” (Love and Survival-- 8 Pathways to Intimacy and Health).
In Jacob and Esau's case, we see a powerful example of the medicinal
power of love. For it is love that played the critical factor in breaking
Rebekah’s son’s free from conflict that could be traced back to their
grandparents (Abraham and Sarah).

Hell Bent
R
eflecting on the prior stories and research studies in this book
and others I have written, we are enlightened to a powerful
connection. Yet the challenge many professing Christians face
is accepting that God is in science and that science is not a denomination
or any religious dogma. Rather it proves why and how God is indeed
Almighty.
If indeed the Bible is truth and we are of God’s image (Genesis 1:27),
why would God condemn his people for discovering the depth of his own
creation? Even earthly parents yearn to pour themselves out to their
children. This blatant rejection of learning more about God’s creation
is also rooted in fear.

HELL BENT

FEAR CODE
If the one true God were revealed (through science and/or sound doc-
trine), man’s dependency would be thrust toward heaven rather than
best selling methods, church growth strategies, tithes and offerings,
memberships, etc. For it is written: "My people shall die because of
their lack of knowledge" (Source: The Bible, Hosea 4:6).
18
8
Broken harmony
I
find it interesting that science is defined as being the study of the
structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through
organized study (i.e., observation and experiment). Similarly,
when a person searches the scriptures to prove doctrinal or disprove
doctrine, they are using a basic scientific method highlighted even in
the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15, Isaiah 28:10, Acts 17:11).
Yes, there are many scientific claims and unmerited research that
aren’t credible. The same is with biblical doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1).
However, we are called to discern between what is true and what is
not (1 John 4:1).

Final thoughts
I
sure hope you enjoyed this book. More than anything, I am
thankful that you took the time to read this book. That means
a lot to me.
If you have questions about what you’ve read, please feel free to reach
out to me. I wold love to hear your thoughts.
My prayer is that you come to know the one true God. A God who is
not confined to church buildings (Acts 7:48). For science allows us to
appreciate a God who is bigger than we could ever imagine.
