Exercices Supplementaires

This document provides an exercise in reconstructing missing values from statistical information given about a linear regression model relating a dependent variable y to an independent variable x based on 190 observations. It includes the estimated intercept and slope coefficients, their standard errors, t-statistics, R-squared value, standard error of the estimate, sum of squared residuals, sample mean of y, and standard deviation of y. The missing values that need to be determined from the information provided are labeled VM1 through VM8.

Exercice 1:

yi = a0 + a1 xi + εi

yi = 132.80 − 1.1xi + ei (i = 1, ..., 85)

(1) Montrer l’équivalence suivante: R2 = rx,y
2

n

â1 = n
x2i
P

Justifier votre choix.
a) Oui.
b) Non.
c) Pas toujours.
