1. Clean the stud, the locknut, and the base of the locknut prior to assembly.

2. Apply 2P-2333 High Temperature Sealer to the threads of the stud that extend through the
flange of the exhaust bypass valve and to the bottom of the mating face of each locknut.

3. Tighten two diagonal locknuts.

Torque ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)

4. Tighten the remaining locknuts.

Torque ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)

5. Tighten all four locknuts again.

Torque ... 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft)
