Task 2 Fixing

This document contains information about two learning outcomes, activities, and assessments for a 1st grade class. The first learning outcome is about recognizing and identifying halves in math. The associated activity used a PowerPoint to explain halves of pizzas and numbers, engaging students. The assessment had students shade halves and wholes on a worksheet while being observed. The second learning outcome is about writing rhyming words in English. The activity used a phonics program to demonstrate rhyming words, explain the concept, and have students provide examples. The assessment was a worksheet where students wrote three rhyming words for each prompt, which was checked by the teacher.

Task 2: Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcome 1
Subject: Math Level: Grade 1

Learning Outcome: To recognize and identify a half.

Describe the Learning Activity(is) and state whether it is aligned with the Learning Outcome.
Explain why you think it's aligned’ or ‘not aligned.’
The teacher showed them a powerpoint about the fraction for example, how
the pizza looks like when we cut it in half and, she asked them questions for
example, what number is half of 10?How we cut the circle to half? I think it’s
aligned with the learning outcomes because, she explained how we could have
the half of pizza and, she also explained what means a half. Also, the students
involved with her and, they have learned the fraction and, what means a half
and how we can do it? Also, they have been learned to compare between the
half and the whole so, it is aligned to the learning outcome.

Describe the Assessment Strategy(is) and state whether it is aligned with the Learning
Outcome. Explain why you think it’s ‘aligned’ or ‘not aligned.’
The teacher used a formative assessment so, she gave them a worksheet when
she finished explaining and, during they are doing the activity which is they
must solve the worksheet shading the half and, whole in the shapes she was
observing them and, she checked their works immediately when they are
finished. I think it’s aligned with the learning outcome because she found that
they have understood the half.
Learning Outcome 2
Subject: English Level: Grade 1

Learning Outcome:
To be able to write rhyming words.

Describe the Learning Activity(ies) and state whether it is aligned with the Learning Outcome.
Explain why you think it’s ‘aligned’ or ‘not aligned.’
The teacher started explaining the lesson which is about rhyming words by
using Jolly Phonics program that she always use it for English subject so, she
showed them the words by using this program ( such as, Run and, Sun) and how
we can write it and, how we can pronounce the word. After that, she explained
what means rhyming words and, she shows them an example. Also, she let the
students try to give her examples. The students get involved and, they were
excited to discover new words with the teacher so, I think its aligned with the
learning outcomes because the student understood the meaning of rhyming
words.

Describe the Assessment Strategy(ies) and state whether it is aligned with the Learning
Outcome. Explain why you think it’s ‘aligned’ or ‘not aligned.’
The teacher used formative assessment so, she gave them a worksheet about
rhymes word and, they should write three rhyming words for each word in the
worksheet and, some of these words in the worksheet she had told them at the
beginning. For example, fun, run and sun so, during they answering the
worksheet she observed them and when they finished she checked their answer
and, she gave them feedback.
I think it’s aligned with the learning outcomes because, they understood very
well and, they became able to write an example of rhyming words without
looking to the worksheet.
