Romeo and Juliet: Final Essay


For your final essay, you will choose to answer one of the three questions
provided in the packet. You can use any of the discussions, materials,
videos, and prompts we have used so far in class for your sources, cited in
MLA format. You must use strong evidence from these sources and
continue to connect it to the thesis.

The three prompts are:


1. Who or what is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths?
2. Do Romeo and Juliet truly love each other?
3. Are name and identity inseparable from meaning?

Essay Requirements...
 1,000 words long (give or take 100)
 MLA format
o Times New Roman
o 12-point font
o Double-spaced
o 1” margins
o 0.5” indent for each paragraph
o Page numbers, including last name, in the top right-hand
corner
o MLA citations
o At lest two sources (not including Romeo and Juliet) to use for
evidence
o Works Cited Page
The rubric you’ll be graded on is the same one that you used
last time.
Remember to use correct MLA citations and Works Cited Page
correctly. Use your notes to review them if you need.
