NAPLAN and PISA Assessment Overview

NAPLAN and PISA are standardized tests used to assess education systems. NAPLAN is an annual Australian test of students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 that evaluates skills in literacy and numeracy. PISA is an international test administered every 3 years that evaluates the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students in science, mathematics, reading and financial literacy in over 70 countries. Both tests provide information to help improve education, with PISA allowing international comparisons and NAPLAN complementing classroom assessments.
