Thanks for your Happy-Birthday email! I’ve got fantastic news! I don’t think we can meet this summer, you know. I’m
off to Italy with my parents! I’m so excited! They gave me the surprise yesterday on my birthday!
I wanted to go in October for the film festival, but my parents can’t leave work at that time. Accommodation is not a
problem because we can stay with my dad’s aunt and uncle in Rome. They’ve got a big house in the countryside. I don’t
know them, but my dad tells us they are very nice people. And he is very excited about the visit too – the last time they
met was when Dad was twelve! They chat online now and they’ve got Skype, but it’s not the same when you get
together.
Dad says Rome’s really beautiful! I’ll send you lots of pictures! I hope the weather is nice!
