About AUthors

Aditya Gurung (14) is an all rounder

born in the wonder of city (Dehradun)
on October 2003 to Mr. Biman
Gurung and Mrs. Usha Gurung. He is
a student of class eight in D.P.S,
Siliguri and had been writing poems
from the age of 11.

Aaghaaz Singh (14) born in

Siliguri to Mr. Ratnesh Singh and
Mrs. Mamta Singh in the month of
July 2003 in the city of spans of
West Bengal. He is a student of
class eight studying at D.P.S,
Siliguri. He has been writing poems from the age of
13.

Trishank Ghosh (14) is also a

student of class eight studying at
D.P.S, Siliguri. He was born on
December 2004 to Mr. Badal
Ghosh and Mrs. Jhorna Ghosh in
siliguri. He also plays cricket and
he had been writing thoughts and stories from the
age of 13.

The stars at night

Twinkling Twinkling little star,
I know that you stay very far.
Not just a Twinkling star,
You are also a wonderful star.
If I ask a question,
Will you give me some inspiration?
I know that how you have formed,
But have you ever asked yourself That
How have you Transformed??
Every night,
We all see your glazing light.
But have you ever thought ?
That how much you are bright.

Because every night you swim in the

Visit to an Unknown
Island
When I was a sailor, my age was
fifteen.
I had a ship, in which I had gone to
many Trips.
I had Travelled all the mighty
oceans, and all small and big seas.
I had also seen many islands with
many Trees.
Once, by mistake, I had gone to an
unknown island,
And when I saw on the map!
I could not find that island.
As the sand was wet, I could not
stand. But not only because of this,
Also because the sun had set.
At that night I slept in my ship
because I could not make a hut.
When the sun rose,

I started feeling hungry.

I started searching all around, and
do you know what I found?
There was a big chocolate volcano,
There was also a big biscuit of piano.
Beside these were few giant men,
holding a small hen.
I stayed on that island for there
days, but I did not lage.
As that was my best trip,
I promised that would never forget
it.

When your father will leave and go
away then you will remember that the
time you spend with him was fewer.

THE MYSTERIOUS LADY

Friends, this story is about a lady, who
did such a thing which made others
think that she was a Time Traveller. So
friends, are you eager to read it?
So the story starts here! It was the

20 of October around 1:30 p.m in the
afternoon. The day was perfect with a
blue sky and a cool breeze. Along the
highway 167 towards the oil center
city of Lafayette. The man driving the
car was Bob and Ahmed.
Ahmed was Bob’s business
associate, was sitting beside Bob. The
year was 1969. When people just
started to drive Mustang, while they
were driving, they suddenly saw an old
turtle back auto going very slowly. It
was so unique as they had never seen
that auto in their life, they got attracted
to that. They tried to overtake the auto

soon the auto stopped. Bob and Ahmed

came out from their car and as soon as
they came out, their first look was on
the bright shiny orange license plate
with the year 1940 clearly printed on
it. Things got worse from there. The
person driving the car was a woman
dressed in a vintage form with a hat
and a fur coat. As they pulled up next
to the car the lady started panicking.
One could make out her face going
pale with fear. She then frantically
started looking back and front as if she
was in the middle of somewhere
unknown. As if she really needed some
help, by looking into her face she
seemed to cry. Bob asked her if she
needed any help, to this the lady
responded in a very dissimilar way.
She then quickly rolled up the
windshield of her car and drove very
fast for 2 seconds and vanished. Bob

and Ahmed thought that she was a

time traveller as the highway was
without any traffic. Also, it was quite
impossible. They were shocked,
Ahmed advised Bob to report it to the
nearest police station, Bob refused to
this as he knew that hearing this
statement the policemen will say them
mad. Hence, the incident was unknown
by the people. After that incident, Bob
and Ahmed started investigating about
time Travellers.

THE TRUTH OF THE OLD

MANSION
During the 16th century in India, there
was a village named Shyampur. The
people of Shyampur lived cheerfully.
This village was ruled by a king
name Vikram Singh. Vikram Singh was
a very wise and powerful king. He was
wealthy too. One day some villagers
came running in his court.
They were very tensed and also
afraid. Vikram asked them “What
happened?” The men replied in a scary
manner and shouted telling “Ghost!
Ghost!” It will kill us, save us, my lord!

Save us! Vikram Singh, “Ghost! How

can a ghost be in my village? The men
said, “It’s really there, we have seen
with our own eyes’’. Vikram Singh
said, “Where is it?” The men replied “It
is inside an old mansion in the dense
forest between Shyampur and Jamnagar.
My Lord, please save us” Vikram Singh
ordered his men to get ready and make
small groups of soldiers and search for
the old mansion. Soon, Vikram Singh
along with his soldiers reached the
forest when he reached in the middle of
the forest, there were two paths. Vikram
ordered his men to go with the first path
and he himself will go alone with the
second path. Vikram Singh, riding his
horse, was searching for the old
mansion. After a few hours, he saw a
bungalow, which seemed to be a
haunted house. He thought that this was
the old mansion which he was searching

for . He went inside it and found no one.

Then suddenly, he heard a strange
sound saying “Go away from here else
you will be killed.” When Vikram Singh
heard this soon he felt that it was a
man’s voice. He then started searching
for the person who was making that
sound. He noticed that the curtains near
the window were shaking while he
heard the sound. He then pulled the
curtains and saw that it was a man who
made that sound. Vikram Singh asked
him “Why did you do this?” to this, the
man replied “The old mansion is my
grand father’s property when my
grandfather died, many people came to
destroy this mansion to make a
shopping mall. I tried to stop them, but
they didn't listen to me and because of
which I acted like a ghost to save my
grandfather’s property.” When the king
heard this he burst into tears and praised

the man for his love towards his

grandfather’s property.

FRIENDS IN LIFE
Sima! Sima! come out fast it's already
late, “The main gate will be closed”
shouted Priya.
After sometime, Sima came out
from her home slowly as if she doesn’t
have to go to school! “I know that you
don’t want to go to school, but for the
sake of your future, you should go to
school.” Said Priya after seeing Sima.
“Yea! Yea!” responded Sima. Then
they quickly ran toward their school’s
main gate. As it was already time, as
soon as they came in the gate closed.
Replied Priya “Thank God’’.

Sima was a girl of 10 and her best

friend was Priya. Sima was a rich girl
she was not punctual at all. Everytime,
she used to wake up late also during

school days and because of which she

used to be late at school. But on the
other side, Priya was a very punctual
and good girl. Her family background
was also very nice. Everyday she used
to wait outside Sima’s house and go
with her to the school. Even in the
exam days the rule was same. Even if
Sima was a rich girl, she did not have a
selfish kind of behavior. Both used to
take care of each other. Days passed
on and the time came when Sima and
Priya turned 19, soon they started
going to college. Priya made her soul
bold and focused more on studies. As
it was the age of students to go into
wrong paths. Sima soon got into wrong
track. She started drinking alcohol and
doing all the things which were the
signs of a bad girl. Every single day
her behavior and condition went down

and down. Priya was shocked after

hearing this from her friends. She
thought that she should make her
understand that it was not good for her
before it’s too late. Priya kept on
understanding Sima to leave all those
things, but Sima did not listen to Priya
at all. Priya was much tensed about
Sima’s condition. One day Priya said
to Sima “This is the last time I am
making you understand if this time
also you don’t listen then our
friendship will be over for forever!
Sima was lost in thinking about
this as she did not want Priya to end
their friendship forever. Sima, then
promised never to touch alcohol and
abandon all her bad manners. Soon
Priya and Sima became friends.

WORST Mistake OF LIFE

Once upon a time in a village lived a
man named Vaibhav, who was very
poor. He lived along with his wife
named Meeta. They had a source to
feed two meals for a day. After few
month’s, God gifted them a baby and
they named him Roshan. They loved
him very much. Finally, those days
came when a child needs a guide and
also a school. His father started
working as a driver and his mother
worked at several homes as a maid and
earned money to send Roshan to
school. Days went on and Roshan
started growing up. He was very
intelligent and always used to get 1st
position in the class. His parents were
very proud of him. Finally, he grew up
and became a doctor. Of course, his
parents were the one to make him a

doctor as they sacrificed their needs

for their child. Roshan was married to
a girl named Anita living in the same
village. Roshan wanted to live alone
with his wife so he decided to send his
parents to old age home. His parents
were broken from the inner core of
their heart. After some years Roshan
got a baby boy. When he grew up and
was of 10, he started asking about his
grandparents. Roshan and his wife
kept on neglecting him but he was so
curious to know that they had to take
him to them. As a gift, Roshan took a
blanket with him. His child thought
that maybe this could be a ritual that
when parents grow older they are to be
kept in old age home. When Roshan
went to meet them, his parents burst
into tears and hugged him tightly.
When he was gifting them, his child

stopped him and said to cut the blanket

into two parts. They asked him why he
did this. He then replied a very
childish but meaningful answer. He
gave one half to his grandparents. “The
other half?” Asked his father. He said,
“Father you are so foolish!” Roshan
asked, “Why?” He said that “This will
be provided to you when you both will
grow old’’.

friends? You should never treat your
parents like this as they have given you
birth and they love you more than
