Physics of Acceleration in 8 Ball Pool

This document provides instructions for accessing the 8 Ball Pool game online and recording examples demonstrating three ways an object can accelerate: 1) Speed up, as seen when balls scatter after being hit by the pool stick, 2) Slow down, as when balls slow after being hit, and 3) Change direction, such as a ball changing path due to the angle of the pool stick hit. The instructions are to log into Firefox, search Google for "8 ball pool mini clip", select the first option, and use QuickTime or Kap to record demonstrations of objects speeding up, slowing down, and changing direction within the game.

8 Ball Pool- Applying Physics to the Game

directions to access games and record snapshots

1. Log on Firefox
2. Get on google
3. Type in 8 ball pool mini clip
4. Select first option

Use quick time or kap to record the following : 3 ways an object can accelerate
1. Speed up

This GIf represents an object speeding up. The balls, after being hit by the pool stick,
speed up and scatter among the table.

2. Slow down
This GIF represents objects slowing down. The brown and orange balls hit by the pool
stick slow down after motion caused by the pool stick.

3. Change direction

This GIF represents an object’s change in direction. The yellow ball changes direction
because of the angle of the hit caused by the pool stick.
