Swing​ ​Simulation​ ​Using​ ​STB​ ​Analysis

Connect​ ​the​ ​circuit​ ​as​ ​shown​ ​below.​ ​Connect​ ​Vout​ ​to​ ​Vin-​ ​using​ ​“iprobe”​ ​from​ ​analogLib

Make​ ​the​ ​value​ ​of​ ​the​ ​DC​ ​voltage​ ​connected​ ​to​ ​vin+​ ​as​ ​shown​ ​below.​ ​X​ ​is​ ​a​ ​variable​ ​which​ ​will
vary​ ​from​ ​0​ ​to​ ​vdd
From​ ​ADEL:
Choose​ ​variable->​ ​copy​ ​from​ ​cell​ ​view.​ ​X​ ​should​ ​appear​ ​to​ ​the​ ​left​ ​as​ ​in​ ​the​ ​figure​ ​below.​ ​Assign
to​ ​it​ ​an​ ​initial​ ​value​ ​1.65V.

From​ ​analyses​ ​choose​ ​stb​ ​and​ ​choose​ ​design​ ​variable​ ​then​ ​type​ ​x​ ​and​ ​make​ ​it​ ​at​ ​frequency​ ​1
hz​ ​and​ ​vary​ ​x​ ​from​ ​0​ ​to​ ​3.3​ ​as​ ​shown​ ​below.
Then​ ​go​ ​to​ ​probe​ ​instance,​ ​press​ ​select​ ​then​ ​go​ ​the​ ​schematic​ ​and​ ​choose​ ​the​ ​probe.​ ​It​ ​should
appear​ ​as​ ​in​ ​the​ ​figure​ ​“/IPRB0”.
Then​ ​press​ ​run.​ ​From​ ​ADEL​ ​choose​ ​results->​ ​direct​ ​plot->​ ​Main​ ​form.​ ​The​ ​following​ ​window
should​ ​appear.​ ​Choose​ ​Loop​ ​Gain​ ​,​ ​db20​ ​and​ ​magnitude.
Plot​ ​the​ ​output.​ ​The​ ​output​ ​will​ ​be​ ​the​ ​gain​ ​vs​ ​Vout​ ​in​ ​dc​ ​.
The​ ​swing​ ​is​ ​the​ ​range​ ​where​ ​the​ ​gain​ ​has​ ​dropped​ ​by​ ​less​ ​than​ ​10​ ​db.
