– A KP Case Study

BACK GROUND NOTE- On question of Job, Many studies have, so for, been published in
JASA. But in this case, I felt the analysis of VI & XI houses with retrogression of dasa &
Bhukti lords, slightly ticklish & hence thought to share my approach with readers. The
complexity, felt, has been discussed ,in the analysis, later in the article .
INTRODUCTION-In august 2015, while in Canada, A lady approached me on 6.8.2015
with titled question. She gave me the Horary no.60. The Horary chart was prepared using
“KP Star One Software”. The Data of the chart is as follows,
Horary No: 60 / Date= 06-Aug-2015 / Time of Chart – 13hrs: 12 min:03 sec. / DST- ON/
Place –TORANTO (Canada)/ Time-Zone: (-5.0 hrs).
HOUSES TO be CONSIDERED – 2nd,6th,10th & 11th, With 10th House as prime Cusp.

GENUINENESS OF THE QUERY – Before proceeding further, genuineness of the query
has to be examined. For which,
1.Genuinness of Mind is to be judged by Moon’s sign-lord/star-lord/sub-lord, which should
signify the cusps, responsible for the event. In this case,
> Moon signifies= 2,11,5&12cusps and is also the sub-lord of 6th cusp.
>Moon's star-lord & sub-lord are Venus,which signifies,10,2,5 & 12th houses.Venus is also
the sub-lord of Moon.
As moon along with it’s lords,is signifying all the houses concerning the query, the
genuineness of querent’s mind is proved.
2. For Genuineness of query, Sub-Lord of Prime-cusp & sub-lord of at-least one supporting
cusp should be in RPs.
>In this case, Sub-lord of prime-cusp 10th is mercury and that of 2nd cusp is Jupiter. Jupiter is
in RPs. Mercury is not in RPs directly but is there through Rahu. So query can be accepted as
genuine .

PROMISE OF QUERY- Before proceeding for the detailed analysis, Chances of fulfilment
of the desire must be examined. For which, Following three conditions should essentially be
satisfied,
1. Sub-lord of prime cusp,(i,e 10th) should not be retrograde.
> Here sub-lord of 10th cusp is Mercury,which is direct.Thus first condition is satisfied.
2.Star-lord of prime-cusp’s sub-lord should not be retrograde.
> Here star-lord of mercury is Ketu, which is not retrograde, so second condition is also
satisfied.
3.Sub-lord of Prime-cusp should signify one or more associated cusps by way of its lordship/
occupation/constellation/sub or any other association.
>In this case, Mercury in addition of being sub-lords of 10th, & 11th cusps, signifies 2nd, 10th
& 11th cusps, thus satisfying the third condition also.
Thus, The Query looks PROMISED.
SELECTION OF FRUITFUL PLANETS- As fruitful planets are to be chosen from house-
significators, duly supported by RPs, So fruitfulness of RPs and house–significators need to
be examined.
(a) Ruling Planets –Rule states that only those RPs are fruitful, who (i)are neither
themselves retrograde, nor fall under retrograde star or retrograde sub. And (ii) who signify
houses of event in any manner.
Important-In the present case, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Rahu & Ketu are RPs, where Venus is
coming twice, indicating it as a strong RP. But Venus is retrograde. Moreover it is also the
sub-lords of Rahu & Ketu. Thus, as per retrogression rules all these three planets becomes
unfruitful, and we are left, only, with two planets i,e Jupiter & Mars. Further, analysis
indicates, that Mars is “A” grade significator for 5th house & only “D” grade significator for
6th house. As 5th house is 12th to 6TH,so Mars may not be effectively fruitful to 6th.
Now, only Jupiter is left,& as timing can not be worked out by one planet, A contradiction
between promise of query & this analysis was felt. On further studying, at some place in KP
literature, I found that retrograde planets remain
in-effective during their retrogression periods & get full strengths , after becoming direct.
As Venus was retrograde upto 6th September,2015,I decided to analyse for the timing of
Event after 6th september’2015.
(b) Fruitful Significators – By assimilating the tables of RPs and house significations ,
Following significators, in order of their strength were selected for the timing of the event.

It will be seen that Mars is signifying negative houses more strongly than effective ones, so it
was not found a favourable significator. However for 11th house there is no other choice. So
analysis was based on following combination of planets, with the rider that she may not get
the desired job satisfaction due to weak representation of 11th house.
I.-RAHU(mercury)/II.-Venus/III.-JUPITER /IV.-Mercury/
V.- Mars and VI.Ketu(Jupiter).
SELECTION OF DASA-BHUKTI- ANTARA– Now For timing of event, Selection of
Dasa, Bhukti, Antara & sookshma remains to be made.
At the time of analysis, Following scenario of dasa, bhukti, antara & sookshma was
prevailing,
DASA- Venus: upto 24.10.2032 > Retrograde upto 6.9.2015
BHUKTI- Venus: upto 24.2.2016
ANTARA- Mercury :upto 15.12.2015 > Retrograde from 18.9.2015
To 9.10.2015
SOOKSHMA – Venus- Upto 27.8.2015
Sun- upto 5.9.2015
Moon- upto 19.9.2015
Mars- upto 30.9.2015
Rahu- upto 25.10,2015
Jupiter- upto 17.11.2015
Analysis – Keeping retrogressions of Venus & Mercury,in mind, there seems to be no chance
for the event to fructify upto 30.9.2015. There-after, chance of getting the Job, between
1.10.2015 to 17.11.2015 stand brighter.
The querent was told accordingly, with the caution that she may get the job in above period,
but it may not be of her full liking.
Feed-Back – The feed-back was very encouraging, for an amateur practitioner like me. She
got first interview call around 12th october’15 & after a round of few more, got the offer
around 26.10.15,with 3 weeks time to join. Though she took-up the assignment on
23.11.2015, but is not very satisfied with the job.
The above feed-back proves that Such close analysis can only be possible by KP SYSTEM.
