UNIT 2: CONCEPTUAL CLARIFICATION OF DIDACTIC TERMS IN P.E.

There is a confusion with the use of teaching terms, due to Non-agreement among specialists and
Ignorance of terms Delgado Noguera (1991). the previous academic training are sciences of
education, sciences of physical activity and sport and INEFs
Clarifying basic terms
Didactics: (to teach, to instruct, to explain, doing, knowing, demonstrating). Didactic is the art of
teaching.
Education: ( comprehensive and the difficult to summarize). The latin verbs are: educare ( to read,
to nourish, to feed, to protect, to teach) and the other verbs is educare (to lead, to extract, to make,
to remove it from the inside).
Teaching is teaching of the physical education and Physical is the body, movement and physical.
The educational intervention; educational performance, purpose in help students learning. there are
two types: indirect (active learning) and directive (passive learning). Determines the teaching style,
teaching technique, teaching resource and teaching in practice strategy. These is used by traditional
didactics and broad sense.
there are three levels of didactic interactions: the first level is the technical teaching (comunicate),
the second level is the organization control (organizational) and the last is the social affective
(social).
The pedagogical strategies is global form or strategy of acting (teaching-learning process).
Method: very polysemous term (Gimeno Sacristan, 1981)

There are two types: analytical (inductive) and synthetic (deductive).
Procedure: ways of develop the teaching method; it is inductive (observation, experimentation, and
abstraction), deductive (application, verification and demonstration), analytical (division and
classification) and synthetics (conclusion, definition and summary).
the teaching technique: technical (knowing how to do and is influence of technological didactics
vision) and the didactic communication way of giving information, motivation and attention,
feedback and avoid the failure.
Strategy in the teaching practice is progressive exercise motor skill acquisition and there are two
methods: analytical and synthetic or global.
the teaching resource way of specific communication. The technological resource (task sheet, board
use and sport equipment).
The elements intervening on the teaching of the P.E are thoughts (knowledge, ideas and beliefs) and
content (heart of teaching-learning process). The model Dunking and Biddle.
