Innovative Lesson Plan

This lesson plan focuses on teaching modal auxiliaries to English students. The teacher will introduce modal auxiliaries using charts and comic strips depicting their different uses and functions. Students will analyze comic strip conversations to identify contexts of ability, permission, requests, and possibility demonstrated by various modal verbs. They will then categorize additional comic strips according to modal verb use. To conclude, students will construct original conversations using modal auxiliaries and submit them for homework.
