Ping Tutorial for RTN Management

This document provides instructions for pinging transmission IP routes between a NodeB and RNC using an RTN manager. TUTORIAL HOW TO PING TRANSMISSION IP RTN (to NODEB & RNC)

First, LOGIN NEW MANAGER RTN vesio R6

Setting IP computer as below

After that, login with this SW manager RTN

Password :
Changeme_123
After insert username & password, the menu should as below

1. NE search ---= search NE


2. Search NE ----= inset local ip addres then apply

And then, shown below

Password : password

To access onto NE, click NE explorer

Congrats, now you already LOGON !!!


CHAPTER 1

PING WITH E-LINE

Example RSHERMINAIW case

First if transmission IP connect beetwen Nodeb to RNC, delete xconnection existing.

1. Ping to RNC

Goto menu below

Delete xconnect RSherminaIW, after deleted shown as below


Create new port to ping test, find blank FE/GE port on EM6T

After created xconnect ping, shown as below


Then, Go to interface management – Ethernet interface

Sub menu - Layer 2 attribute

Insert Default VLAN ID as VLAN NODEB that want to ping

Configured your IP config on laptop

IP nodeb : [Link]

IP RNC : [Link]

Insert on your laptop IP nodeB


Then open

Start – run –cmd

On that command, typewriter ping [Link] (IP nodeB on RNC)

Your ping now success to RNC, Mean your IP trans working well.

2. PING TO NodeB

RSherminaIW case

Goto menu below


Delete xconnect nodeB that you wan to ping

After deleted, create xconnect ping to nodeB, find blank FE/GE port on EM6T
After created new xconnect, picture as below

Then goto

Interface management – ethertent interface

Go to page layer2 attributtes, then insert Default VLAN iD as VLAN NodeB


Configured your IP config on laptop

IP nodeb : [Link]

IP RNC : [Link]

Insert on your laptop IP RNC

then

Start – run –cmd

On that command, typewriter ping [Link] (IP nodeB)


CHAPTER 2

PING with E-LAN

1. PING TO NODEB

RSherminaIW case

Goto Ethernet service management – ELAN,

Open Get UNI port, picture as below

Delete xconnect VLAN 434 on port 1 (to IDU CITAYEM GE2) to RNC

Insert VLAN NodeB to blank FE/GE port on EM6T (port 5)


After all xconnect created ping okay, insert Default VLAN ID and tag as hybrid (same VLAN ID on NODEB)
to new xconnect to ping (port 5)

Then Configured your IP config on laptop

IP nodeb : [Link]

IP RNC : [Link]

Insert on your laptop IP RNC


then

Start – run –cmd

On that command, typewriter ping [Link] (IP nodeB)

2. Ping to RNC

Goto Ethernet service management – ELAN,


Open Get UNI port, picture as below
Delete xconnect VLAN 434 on port 2 (to parakan port 4) to nodeB

Insert VLAN NodeB to blank FE/GE port on EM6T (port 5)

After all xconnect created ping okay, insert Default VLAN ID and tag as hybrid (same VLAN ID on NODEB)
to new xconnect to ping (port 5)
Then Configured your IP config on laptop

IP nodeb : [Link]

IP RNC : [Link]

Insert on your laptop IP NodeB

Then Start – run –cmd

On that command, typewriter ping [Link] (IP nodeB on RNC)
