Informational Tasks

1- Look more closely at the instructions that the teacher gives while introducing the
learning centers:
If possible, video/pictures or audio record the teacher while she gives
instructions.

-She gives them the


instructions in the circle area time by using a puppet.
Write the sentences of the instructions that the teacher gives.
-The teacher in Al Ansar School use some sentences to give the students the
instruction and she make it like a song so they always remember it, the
sentences are; cross your legs, fold your arms, listen to the teacher, eyes on the
board.
Write your own instructions for one of your own lesson plans.
-In my own lesson, I make some short sentences for the instruction so students
can remember it such as; eyes on me, listen to teacher, sit properly, hands up
for answers.

2- Describe the purpose of diagnostic assessment.

A) Identify the diagnostic tests the teacher uses in your TP placement. These might be
check lists, written observations. Photograph blank diagnostics, scan, print and or
upload to your e-portfolio. (they have a checklist but they said they cannot give it to us)
B) Look over the diagnostics again and identify which diagnostics are norm referenced,
criterion referenced, comparison of students ability, comparison of student progress.
-The school make interviews for all the children, from this interview they know if the
student need a help or not the principle decide if they will keep the student or he
should go to special school.

3- Classroom Management

1. Describe two times when your classroom management was successful. Describe the
situation, learning objective and what the students were doing. Why was your
management successful?
-The first time that my classroom management was successful is when I teach them first
time, I make a reward system for the by giving the good students a sticker. While second
time was the third time I teach them, I also make a reward system for them but I gave
them balloons instead of stickers, I bring another thing so they were excited to have it,
and I used their routine so they were knowing what to do.

2. Describe something you would like to improve about your classroom management
(using routines, giving instructions, dealing with disruptive behavior, managing groups,)
Give suggestions (or talk to your MST or MCT) to improve your classroom management.
-I would like to improve the dealing with misbehavior students and I want to develop
giving them clear instructions and let them understand.
