Total Body Surface Area Estimation Methods

This document discusses three methods for determining total body surface area: the Rule of Nines for adults and children, which divides the body into sections representing percentages of TBSA; the Rule of Nines modified for infants; and the Palmer Method, which estimates TBSA based on the size of the patient's palm and fingers representing 1% of TBSA. The Palmer Method provides a quick way to estimate burn size for calculating fluid resuscitation needs.
