Dinner at an affluent restaurant in Mumbai. Anita and Tej in romantic
setting. Tej takes of for New York. Raining cats and dogs outside.

Skip 2 years later. Change setting to Resort mountain. Working girl Madhu.
Gets laid off at work.

Madhu meets Vikram at nursery. He is pushy, she is laid back. He is trying

to console her job loss.

GETTING READY FOR INTERVIEW

Mom helps Madhu get ready for job interview. She take the public bus to
the interview

INTERVIEW

Buzzed into a huge mansion with gate. Mother Rethi welcomes her. Talks
experience and job. Clumsy Madhu is nervous. Warm chatty Madhu. Claims as
fast learner. She makes a nice cup of tea. Husband - NO son is quadra-
plegic Father Daven walks in and introduces. She gets the job.

SEQUENCE - INTRO TO TEJ

INTRODUCTION TO TEJ

Madhu meets Tej on wheelchair. She offfers to make tea to break the ice
during an awkward intrduction. Sachin, the physiotherapists introduces
Mandhu to the routines.

The physio therapist Sachin helps onboard Madhu to her new

responsibilities

ACT 2A

SEQUENCE - CHEERING UP TEJ

CHEERING UP TEJ
Madhu tries to cheeer Tej up. But he is very sarcastic. Chatty Madhu needs
to shut up around Tej who is very bitter from within about his fate.

SEQUENCE - MADHU GOES FOR LUNCH

MADHU GOES FOR LUNCH
Relieved by the trainer. She sits by herself and eats her packed lunch
from home, outside in the garden

SEQUENCE - MONTAGE - DAY TO DAY WORK

MONTAGE- DAY BY DAY WORK

Repeated attempts by Madhu to reach out to Tej is shot down.

SEQUENCE - VISIT FROM ANITA

VISIT FROM ANITA
Anita visits with her fiance. Madhu excuses herself to go make some team.
Conversation is bad. Anita has come to invite Tej for her wedding. Madhu
overhears conversation between Tej and Anita. Not good. Anita is sad. They
leave.
SEQUENCE - TEJ IS ANGRY
TEJ IS ANGRY
Tej breaks the whole row of framed pictures on his dressing table. Madhu
cleans up the broken glasses.

SEQUENCE - MADHU & SACHIN

MADHU & SACHIN MEET
Madhu and Sachin meet at an outdoor cafe. she tells him about Tej's ex-
girlfriend visit to inform him about her marriage and inviting Tej.
Sachin discusses vacation to Goa with his friends (and her)

SEQUENCE - MADHU FIXING PIC FRAMES

MADHU REALLY NEEDS THE JOB
Madhu is fixing the picture frames that Tej smashed it. Tej comes in and
asks her put it into the cabinet. Madhu us trying hard, so that she can
keep the. She really needs the job.

SEQUENCE - WATCH A MOVIE TOGETHER

WATCH A MOVIE TOGETHER
Its raining cats and dogs outside. Tej staring into it from him room.
Medhu reaches to him - "am I needede here?" He thinks it is a movie
watching weather. Order her to watch it with him. She picks a movie from
shelf. Tej orders her to watch the movie together. They watch together.

SEQUENCE - SKY IS CLEAR

STROLL IN THE GARDEN
Tej notices the sky is clear. Suggests that they should go outside. They
strill in the garden together. They do. Fun talk teasing each other about
movies they watch. Mom watches the from inside the house through the
window is encouraged. They have a laugh together.

SEQUENCE - TEJ IN A GOOD MOOD

TEJ IN A GOOD MOOD
Sachin walks out of Tej's room announcing to Madhu that he's in a good
mood. Long time since he laughed at anything. Madhu in kitchen clearing
dishes after the Pasta dinner she made. She is happy that Tej's happy

SEQUENCE - TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL

TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL
Tej rolls on to the van specially fitted for him with Madhu looking on. At
hospital. Checking out if anything is getting worse. Its a chronical
injury. Madhu wants to know - no chance to recover? Sachin explains his
condition to Madhu.

SEQUENCE - TEJ HAS THE CHILLS

TEJ HAS THE CHILLS
On a snowy day Madhu walks in for work. Mom had to be away in London. Dad
is going out, reachable by mobile. Tej has the chills. Madhu nurses him.
Tej's condition gets worse. Madhu calls Dad's mobile - goes to voice
message. She calls Sachin - goes to voice messeage. She is worried. Sachin
arrives. Takes care of Tej, by changing his sweaty cloths. Madhu gets to
see Tej's video on his laptop. Madhu asks Tej what happened to him. He
tells her. Tej asks Madhu to sing from him. She does. She tells stories
about herself to Tej. Puts him to sleep. She sits at the feet of his bed.

SEQUENCE - MADHU TELLS ABOUT HER SHOES

MADHU TELLS TEJ ABOUT HER SHOES
Tej has recovered. They out in the garden. Tej asks Madhu about her
wiered taste for shoes. She gives him a long winded story. He doesn't buy
it. He taunts him about his scruffy beard that is long overdue for a
shave. He agrees for a shave by her. She is surprised.

SEQUENCE - MADHU GIVES TEJ A SHAVE

MADHU GIVES TEJ A SHAVE
Intimate. Madhu admires his face as she gives him a close shave. He looks
handsome without the beard.

SEQUENCE - MADHU OVERHEARS DAD & MOM

MADHU OVERHEARS DAD AND MOM
Madhu steps out into the hallway to check the mail for Tej. Dad and Mom
arguing in the parlor about Tej's life. Tej wanted to end his life in
Switzerland. Mom thought she had 6 months to change his mind. Dad had to
make arrangement as it was coming close to 6 months and they had to keep
the promise with him. It was Tej's choice and that is what he wants. Dad
asks - you think that bloody waitress is going to persuade him? Madhu had
it with overhearing the conversation.

SEQUENCE - MADHU SACHIN TEJ GO TO THE HORSE RACE

MADHU SACHIN TEJ GO TO HORSE RACE
They take the van to the horse race. While riding down the ramp from the
car the wheel chair get stuck in mud. They get help some guys and pull
out. Horse race. Madhu's horse looses.

SEQUENCE - AT RESTAURANT FOR A MEAL

AT RESTAURANT FOR A MEAL
After meal they land up at a restaurant for a meal - Tej Madhu and Sachin.
The head waitress discriminates them, due to Tej on wheelchair. Tej
realizes and wants to go home. Madhu upset with restaurant waitress.

ACT 2B

SEQUENCE - TEJ FRUSTRATED

TEJ FRUSTRATED
Tej gets home and is frustrated with his life. Listen to hard rock music
loud in his room. Madhu shuts it off. Horse racing was not a good idea.
Madhu bought couple of concert tickets for them to go on a date. He
agrees.Smile on his face.

SEQUENCE - MADHU SELECTS HER DRESS

MADHU SELECTS HER DRESS
Madhu seeks her sister, Rani's, help in getting her dress right for the
concert.

SEQUENCE - READY FOR THE CONCERT

READY FOR THE CONCERT
Tej is dressed by Sachin in a black Tuxedo. Madhu walks in as the lady in
red, with a scarf around her neck. Sachin is wowed! Tej asks Madhu to
loose the scarf. She does. She look gorgeuos! Now that puts a broad smile
on Tej's lips.

SEQUENCE - AT THE CONCERT

AT THE CONCERT
Tej and Madhu arrive into the concert hall elegantly. They get seated.
Madhu helps bite out tag from Tej's collar. They enjoy the performance.
They have romantic time on the van overlooking the valley.

SEQUENCE - PICNIC - INVITE TO HOME

PICNIC - INVITE TO HOME
Madhu takes Tej out in the open for a picnic. Invites Tej to her home to
meet her family and her birthday celebration. He agrees.

SEQUENCE - TEJ AT MADHU'S HOME

TEJ AT MADHU'S HOME
Madhu and Tej arrive at home with Sachin. Parents invite them in at the
door. Sachin excuses himself. They all have a gracious meal together at
the table. Boyrfriend arrives. He is execited about having completed 6
miles of jogging in 28 minutes. forgets about her birthday.Awkward
conversations. Cake for Madhu. Presents. Tej brings her the tights.Good
byes.

SEQUENCE - VISIT TO THE CASTLE

VISIT TO THE CASTLE
Tejs gets invited to Anita's wedding -cards on the table when Madhu arives
with ideas about going to the farmers' market or flower show. Tej takes
Madhu to the castle owned by his family. Shares memories about himself in
young age playing knight with a sword. But he finds Delhi as much better
than this. Sitting outside South Extension coffee shop and having chaat.
Madhu says that they could go there. Tej says no. Instead proposes to go
together to Anita's wedding. She agrees.
SEQUENCE - MADHU'S PARENTS
MADHU'S PARENTS
Madhu parents getting ready for celebration - Dad's got a job at the
castle as Head of Maintenance. Madhu knows how it might have come about.
She calls Tej over the phone. He explains, your Dad needed a job and I
needed a Head of Maintenance. She is concerned. He assures her that this
would give her the chance to leave her brood and go out to spread her
wings.

SEQUENCE - VISIT FROM MICHAEL LAWLER

VISIT FROM MICHEAL LAWLER
Visitor - Micheal Lawler - arrives. Madhu opens the door. Tej takes over
at the door. Madhu checks up on computer - Google about who Micheal Lawler
is - he is a specialist in wills, probate and power of attorney. She is
worried.

SEQUENCE - MADHU INFORMS TEJ;S MOM

MADHU INFORMS TEJ'S MOM
Madhu informs Tej's Mom about lawyer's visit. Both fo them are worried.
They thought that he was coming aroung with being cheerful. Mom requests
Madhu to look after Tej at the wedding.

SEQUENCE - ANITA'S WEDDING

ANITA'S WEDDING
Tejs and Madhu arrive at Anita's wedding. Both look sharp. Tej's old
freind meets him. Bride and Groom first dance. Madhu meets an elderly lady
who tells her that Tej is a great guy. Anita was a good ridance for him.
Madhu sits on Tej's lap and they dance on the wheel-chair as a romantic
song plays. Madhu asks him to go somehwere together. They do ride of
together on the wheelchair. The spend the night together in a hotel.

SEQUENCE - TEJ AND MADHU RETURN FROM WEDDING

TEJ AND MADHU RETURN FROM WEDDING
Next day morning Tej and Madhu arrive home. Mom worried, when she could
not reach them. Tej tells her he is old enough to have a night out. Sachin
checks him and he might be having fever again.

SEQUENCE - MADHU BIKING BEHIND RAMESH

MADHU BIKING BEHIND RAMESH
Ramesh is jogging and Madhu biking behind him. He is not liking that Madhu
is spending so much time with Tej. She explains that it is just a job. He
jogs away. She sees a call on her mobile phone. Tej is in hospital. She
rushes.

ACT 3

SEQUENCE - TEJ IN HOSPITAL

TEJ IN HOSPITAL
Madhu rushes into the hospital. Sachin explains that he is stable now. He
has pnemonia. His lungs are weak. Any bacteria in there could create
havoc. Madhu asks Dad if she could go in. He says Mom is with him. Madhu
spends the night by his side, while he goes in and out of consciousness.

SEQUENCE - ANOTHER TRIP IDEA

ANOTHER TRIP IDEA
Madhu is at the kitchen counter on the laptop researching something.
Sachin comes by to drop of some medications for Tej, while he is
recovering in the hospital. He explains to Madhu that he understands that
she has feelings for Tej. But things are looking bleak. She requests him
to come with them for another trip. He agrees.

SEQUENCE - RAMESH'S SURPRISE

RAMESH'S SURPRISE
Madhu reaches home to find Ramesh at her home with dinner ready. He
arranged for her parents to leave for the evening to grandpa's house.
After dinner Ramesh finds Madhu's research notebook. Ramesh and Madhu
argue. Ramesh walks away.

SEQUENCE - TEJ MADHU SACHIN MAKE TRIP

TEJ MADHU SACHIN
The trio depart from the airport on a private jet to a tropical island.
Tey arrove at the Paradise hotel. Romantic scene - Madhu walking bu
herself while Tej recovers fully. They go outside and sit by the swimming
pool. Sachin finds a fling with Reshmi at the hotel. Heavy rain outside.
They leave the dooes wide open. Madhu cozies up with Tej in his bed upon
his request. Funny scene of Madhu not wanting to scuba-dive. then liking
it. Madhu is very on the beach with Tej at night. She is dancing away
while Tej laughs at teh sight. She sits on his lap and kisses him on his
lips. Then Tej confesses that he can't accept. He wants someone else to
give her something better. Madhu is shattered. Tejs says that he can't
live like this. Madhu cries out. Tej wants it end here. He says that his
condition is not going to get any beter. He is going to Switzerland. Madhu
says he is being selfish. She says she wishes that she never had met him.
She runs away and Tej calls her bak. Next day they are at airport. Madhu
is hurt. Tej is on his own with his closed eyes. SAchin finds a corner
seat on the private plane. Parents recieve them at airport. They are
excited to see Tej. Madhu walks away though mother tries to run after her.
She takes the public bus home. She returns home. She runs into her Moms
hands and breaks down.

SEQUENCE MADHU'S HOME

MADHU'S HOME
Madhu and her family having evening tea together. Mother is very upset
about Tej wanting to die. She thinks that it is murder and doesn't want
Madhu to be part of it.
Madhu sad in the park sitting by herself and staring at nothing. Madhu
alone in her room looking through all the research she done for Tej. Dad
walks into her room Madhu's heart to heart with Madhu. Madhu - I tried
dad. I tried very hard. I failed. Dad - who said you failed? Dad tells her
that she still has time.

SEQUENCE - MADHU'S SISTER DRIVES

MADHU'S SISTER DRIVES
Madhu is driven by her sister in a van to Switzerland. "Loving can hurt
sometime. But it is the only thing I know. When it can get hard sometime.
Its the only thing that keeps us alive. She arrives at the facility.
She walks in clumsily into the room with Tej and his parents.

SEQUENCE - MADHU WITH TEJ

MADHU WITH TEJ
After the parents leave, Madhu comes to Tej, who asks - are you here to
make me my last cup of tea? Madhu chuckles. She is here to kidnap and take
him to Rio. He says seriously - we've been through this Madhu. She nods in
agreement. He asks her to come to him. closer. she lays down next to him,
holding him. Tej - the world will be a better place without me. Madhu - no
it won't. Tej - Don't be sad Madhu. Madhu - tell me something good. Tej
and Madhu have long tender kiss. Tej passes away.

SEQUENCE - MADHU IN PARIS

MADHU IN PARIS
This whole sequence is a voice-over by Tej: If you are reading this you
must be already in Paris. They show Madhu sitting in an outside cafe. When
you get home Micheal will give your own bank account. It will buy you your
freedom to go do what you want to do with your life. live life. Live well.
I will be beside you every step of the way.
Madhu shakes her head. finishes her last cup of coffee with croissant.
Walks across the street to a perfume shop and buys a perfume and leaves.
Walks with Eifel Toers as the background. The end.
