Expression of Interest

This is to express interest for the role of Consultant at Parthenon. With over six and a half years of work experience as one of India's
best known financial journalists, I find my skill set to be a perfect fit for the role as described.

Understanding and Analyzing Complexity: As an economic policy journalist for India's top business news channel, I
kept track of key global and domestic macro-economic developments and the political situation in India - analyzing the
impact of policy on financial institutions and large corporates.

I built a strong network with top ministers and bureaucrats in the government of India as well as Indian and global CEOs
and leveraged this to break news that helps investors make profitable decisions. This work profile has given me an
understanding of economic policy, stakeholder motivations, regulatory structures in India and decision making in the midst
of economic and political complexity. I have consistently used both my research in policy as well as my network to forecast
policy decisions that have shaped Indian equity and currency markets over the last four years.

I have also anchored and led shows on key tax legislation such as the Goods and Services Tax, the Direct Tax Code and the
retrospective amendment to Section 9 of the Income Tax that reversed the Supreme Court judgment on the Vodafone tax
case- helping CNBC- TV 18 build market leadership and fulfill its brand promise of being 'first in business worldwide'.

Leadership skills: I introduced differentiated content on CNBC-TV 18 such as the Up close and Personal series that
featured exclusive interviews with the ex-Finance Minster Mr Pranab Mukherjee (now President of India) and ex-Finance
Minister P Chidambaram. Interviews at the highest echelons of government are normally reserved for top senior editors. I
am the youngest journalist across all media to have interviewed senior ministers, due to the depth of my understanding as
well as comfort feel with senior ministers and officials in the Finance Ministry, RBI and corporate India.

Problem Solving Abilities: At the Indian School of Business, I undertook a project for one of the world's
top consumer durable and healthcare product companies. The project involved building a marketing plan and
increasing consumer awareness for devices to treat obstructive sleep apnea to increase the company's market share
from 54% currently to 78% by 2017.

As part of the project, we conducted ethnographies and interviews with over a hundred consumers in five Indian
cities, segmented consumers on the basis of cluster analysis and then recommended a marketing and
communication strategy that outlined the media mix across television, print and digital, the budget and the
organizational structure.

Additionally, I am currently working on a go to market strategy for a smart phone integrated portable device to
treat Cardiac Arrests by automating the process of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This project is under
the guidance of Wharton Professor and Venture Capitalist Stephen Sammut. I am leading identification and negotiations
with manufacturers as well as financial analysis and valuation for the project.

Track record of academic and professional excellence: At CNBC- TV 18 I created a value proposition of speed and
detail, consistently being the first to break information that helped the channel build market leadership during a period of
market disruption that saw the launch of two new business news channels with better access to capital. I bring excellence to
whichever task I undertake and am willing to learn new skills. At CNBC-TV 18, I was on an accelerated growth path and
was nominated for the industry wide "Young Professional Award" from over 200 employees.

As an MBA student at the Indian School of Business, I am in the top 20% of a batch of 763 students. I graduated
in economics from India's best liberal arts college, St Stephen's College, where along with regular coursework I was also one
of 40 students to be selected from over 250 applicants for a six month certificate course in media and communication.

Livelihood Sector Experience and Understanding of Rural Markets: I hold a post graduate degree in Environmental
and Development Management, from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal- a one of its kind educational
institute in Asia set up by the Ministry of Environment and Forests. The course work as well as the extensive field work in
rural India has given me an understanding of the dynamics of rural markets as well as the triple bottom line and ecological
valuation.

Parthenon is a preferred recruiter for me and I do hope you will find my work experience and achievements to be a good fit valuable
for the given role. As a former journalist, I bring a big picture understanding to every situation and this coupled with the analytical
rigor acquired at ISB will help me bring a new perspective to client projects at Parthenon.
