LAB 1: XHTML I

1) NOTEPAD

a. From Start Menu, select Programs -> Accessories ->


Notepad.

2) INTERNET BROWSER

3) SIMPLE WEBPAGE - Hello World

a. Select File -> Save (Or Alt + F + S)


Note: You can save the file by press Ctrl + S.
b. Inside Save in drop-down, select Desktop

c. Create a New Folder by click icon.


d. Type HTML

e. Double click the HTML folder.
f. Inside File name drop down, type index.html
g. Inside Save as type drop down, select All files
h. Press Save button.

5) LAUNCH

a. Press WinKey + M to minimize all windows.


b. Open HTML folder.
c. Double click index.html

7) FAST SAVE AND PREVIEW

a. Press Alt+F+S to save


b. Do not release Alt
c. Press Alt+Tab to change window
Note: If the window for Browser is far, you can press Tab until the
window is selected.

d. Press F5 to refresh Internet Explorer


Note: Press Ctrl+R to refresh Netscape Navigator
